Hi I have not been here for a long time. Just need to ask a few questions.

But first I have about 10 daignosis on my back. I have been to several Dr.'s the last two were a pain management clinic, second spine specialist. And they both said there is nothign they can do for me. Ok  I have taken several meds. Was taking Oxy 80 ER. and oxycodone 20 for break though. For the last two years I have been taking Morphine 100mg. 7 a day, with Oxycodone 20mg 4 timse a day for break though pain. That is indeed allot of meds. But now they are not working to well. My Dr. dosent want me to use a pain pump. So now I'm wondering does anyone know what pain meds that medicade pays for. I was buying my oxycodone 80mg each month for 600 bucks. Needless to say I cant afford that. And now I'm getttin gcared. Because my pain is usually a 9 or 10 most of the time. But I keep trying to make this work, in which I suffer to much trying to do so. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance

I didn't get the full jist of your condition, but you made it sound as if there is nothing more medically a doctor can do. I hope you don't mean anything fatal. If  you have a condition that isn't fatal, but non-treatable, I have gotten great relief from fentanyl. They come in patches, losenges, ect.. based on your condition.  I have had a pain pump for a few years and it has helped alot with the chronic pain. I hope your pm doctor can be of more help. smurf

You might want to look into fentanyl as fieldgoal says. You might want to take a look at oxymorphone (aka Opana) as well and discuss it with your doc. Sometimes switching the meds you take helps to reduce the loss of pain relief you receive. Good luck.
