Has anyone here had one? It's a procedure that involves the doc placing a cath in my spine with meds to break up scar tissue and dissolve it. Had one last mth, it wasn't bad to have, discomfort-wise. It helped alot for the 1st week but after that it was sameoldsameold. It requires sedation but not gen anthes, so I'm awake and floating nicely. But today, wow a diff story! It was so painful from the get-go, I don't know how big those redhot railpoad spikes were that he was jabbing in my back were but they felt like phone poles. I could barely talk from the sedation but man, I could feel. I actually screamed and I haven't done that since I last gave birth 27 yrs ago. I'm usually "a trooper" but today I actually cried from the pain. I heard him tell the nurse to give me some more Versed and Fentanyl but it was too late by then. It was actually agony. This is the 8th round of inj from this doc since Sept and I have always been stoic about the discomfort. Has anyone had this happen to him or her? Also, I was incontinent of urine while getting dressed to leave, not a dribble like we middle-aged ladies sometimes have, I soaked my undies and dress, had to sit on a stack of newspapers going home. I told the aide but she kind of laughed it off. This, too, was a new experience for me. I didn't have a full bladder and it happened again here at home just a while ago. Could he have hit someting wrong, a nerve or something?
I am not my pain, it does not own me.
