Does psoriasis go along with Crohn's Disease?  My daughter was diagnosised with CD 2 years ago when she was eight and now she is getting psoriasis and they say that can be an immune problem too.  Just wondering.

Hi Ivy's mom, I saw your post and though I don't know anything about psoriasis and Chrones I thought I might suggest you check with anther Forum or different conditions maybe. I don't know I just thought that if I wrote and asked something I'd appreciate some kind of reply (and have always done so, as you will also) even if it was just to say hey and wish you the best. I am sure someone more knowledgeble than I will know what to do and help you find an answer. So hang in there and I hope Ivy gets better as well as you.

Toritoo I just noticed your name is Becky. Good luck Becky Tori

Hi, Becky,
Like Toritoo, I don't know much about the causes of psoriasis except that stress can exacerbate it, maybe even cause it (which can relate to immune system being weakened). Have you posted on the Crohn's Disease section of Healing Well? You may get more specific responses there.

Best to you and your daughter,

Yes it does. I have Uc and psoriasis along my hairline. Psoriasis is an auto immune condition along with Cd and that it makes it more likely for her to get it. Definately post this on the CD forum for more answers :)
