What I do with all my script
s is have them filed at the pharmacy. Some I fill some I do not. But I do feel that my pharmaceutical transactions are on record per Se.
I can't stand longer then 3-5 minutes without pain medications. I have not choice but to take them. If there was a better solution then I know I would of found it by now. I have tried many many things and my life basically got worse once I cut off of meds. I want to work, I know I cant but I could volunteer, exercise, shop, clean and cook when treated appropriately. I have it on record that I tried to go non-narc and it made me worse off. As for reporting a doctor or nurse, I highly recommend NOT doing this. I did and I got fired by the entire clinic that has monopolized my county and town. I now have to travel to the city for something so simple as a sniffle. Even though I was told by my doctors nurse that if I was 'dead' I wouldn't hurt anymore. Even though I was told by my doctor that I could be selling my meds and putting my kids through college. I was appalled, I reported them and I got fired from the entire clinic. I will be more careful about
the battles I chose down the road, just my personal experience. I shot myself in the foot by complaining. Sorry I am rambling now.
Hope all is well, I have learned from this forum that I am not alone. Doctors and nurses protect each other and we chronic pain sufferers need to protect each other as well. In my opinion.
ETA: I was asked by a dear friend who is an RN. 'Do you take your pain pills for recreation or relief?' I take them for relief and she agrees with me that I am not a habitual abuser for the fun of it. There are many in my life that agree I am not in this for the fun of it. My injury caused an overnight change. Night vs day. Just insane what the highers are thinking?
