Ouch! I know how much falling can suck. I was klutzy and tripped down the stairs (thanks to my gato) 3 days after major surgery!

Take it easy, get some ice and make sure to call the doc if anything keeps hurting out of the ordinary for a fall.

In the United States today, there is a pervasive tendency to treat children as adults, and adults as children. The options of children are thus steadily expanded, while those of adults are progressively constricted. The result is unruly children and childish adults. ~Thomas Szasz

I am terrified of falls, since my main injuries came from one. And since that initial bad fall 4 years ago I've take a couple of others, and I know they've been partly related to muscle weakness in my legs and/or numbness in my feet. It sounds like maybe your muscles gave out. It's important to discuss this with your ortho. I know as much as it's going to hurt (which is why I've been avoiding it) I need to get my leg muscles stronger again. Since my lumbar fusion a year ago I've done next to no exercise because pretty much everything aggravates symtoms. But I've been noticing myself tripping a lot lately and I know it's my feet and weak legs just not picking themself up.

Anyway, sorry for rambling, but wanted you to know I do understand. And yes, do take care of yourself and don't hesitate to go to the ER. You may need to at least get X-rays to clear that you didn't break anything. Be sure to use ice elevate your leg if there's swelling.

Take care!

Ouch! That must have caused one nasty headache! You should definitely make sure you didn't get a concussion or anything! Hope you feel better & figure out what is going on with your leg!

Sometimes falls can be the result of highblood pressure. Be very sure that the doctor takes your blood pressure
and it would be good if you had a record of times when it's high. Make doubly sure he takes your BP. You don't
want to have a stroke.

I used to fall a lot before I adjusted to my medication.

You had acdf? wazat?

acdf - anterior cervical disectomy with fusion
my bp stays around 110. with my luck it's some kind of weird rare disease that causes me to fall over/down.
