I twisted my ankle yesterday and now it hurts whenever I put pressure on it. I have been using the R.I.C.E treatment . I cant afford to go to the doctors with no insurance . I hope everyone has a lpd.

Stay off of it as much as possible, and if it doesn't improve soon, I'd go to the ER. They still need to treat you, and if it's a break you want to have it taken care of.

R.I.C.E. is a good place to start.

Hey kara!

PaLady is right...keep off that ankle! Elevate it to keep the swelling down and watch it. I've had several full sprains over the years and it is very painful. Used to just make me All hospitals must treat patients who come into the ER whether you have insurance/money or not. They all have a budget that will pay for those who can't pay for themselves. But some are better than others. If you have a church-based hospital in your area I'd choose that one first. In our area we have a Catholic based hospital, St. Joseph's, and they only make you pay what you can. Please take care and get someone to look at that if it's not better in another 24 hours.
