What is the best method you have found for making potatoes? Or what is your favorite way to eat potatoes??

I have a secret recipe for my mashed potatoes and they are a hit at every family function. When you beat them with a mixer add a little milk, butter, salt and pepper and mayonaise. The last ingredient is the secret one. Add about a couple of tablespoons. The potatoes come out with a wonderful flavor and everyone will want to know what you did. Don't tell. It's a secret!!

Blessings to all!

I do the same with my mashed potatoes but instead of mayonaise I use sour cream.

I have to say something about this just cracked me up. Just brought on visions of scooping up mashed potatoes with my hands and shoveling them into my mouth! turn

I love them mashed, baked, pretty much any way. They're my comfort food. But one slightly unusual version is Italian potato salad my mother used to make. You boil the potatoes (peeling is optional - depends on whether you like the skin and hte look), cut them up, then soak them with lots of vinegar and a little olive oil. Salt and pepper (I use lots of pepper) to taste. That's it. No mayo.

I love to use a lot of vinegar!! smilewinkgrin

Thanks for the laugh!! tongue
