my name is Theresa i had a car accident back in December I was pregnant at the time I had leg pain but could go on with my daily life, after my pregnancy I had severe pain radiating from my buttocks to my calf in my left leg I got to the point where my hip was to the side I was so sad I could not take care of my baby, I went on with chiropractic theraphy and after 4 months I feel a lot better Im still a little slanted to the side, and I still have pain I try to continue my regular activities but sometimes is painfull. I had an MRI and it showd up L4 and L5 was pinched in the nerve root L4 was 3mm pinched and L5 was 8 to 9 mm I have a question will this get better soon or does it really take so long.... I need to get back to work and my daughter is so heavy now.

WELCOME! You will see every one is friendly here & some of us have the same stories. GREAT place to just get things off your chest. Now in regards to your post...... I'm no dr... but, I do have sciatica issues & it only has gotten worse for me. I am currently seeking disability. BUT..... I have MULTIPLE issues with my back. I made a post on another thread talking about what I have gone through. You should consider seeking a pain specialist or a neurologist in regards to sciatica pain, the nerve can have some control with lyrica, and there are many minor (i'm talking twilight sleep, up later that day or the next) surgeries they can do. (numbing the pinched nerve, trigger injections- some people I had met at the surger center said they had up to a years' worth of relief- depends on how much you have going on) but either way I would highly recommend consulting a specialist so they can see whats really going on. (my chiro made my case worse- not knocking chiro drs, just stating my situation. and i had MULTIPLE wrong diagnosis) one was even cancer...... yeah! so please consider seeing a specialist. They can help you with physical therapy, medications & any surgeries that might lead you to a more productive life! Feel free to email me any time!!!!! -Shannon (FYI-I am only 31, this has been steadily worse for 10 years)
