Just make sure that no matter what you decide you go to some kind of counsiling or Intensive outpatient treatment groups. I'm on Suboxone, have you looked into that?? It has a better reputation then Methadone and it's alot easier to wean off of.
LOL, I feel like I'm the "Suboxone Messanger", I'm out here to spread the word.... I really think it's not advertised enough, and anyone who has to be weaned off of opiates because of choice, or made to do cause of doctors, or cause their tolerence has turned into addiction should know about
their choices. I got a very high tolerence and where I live theirs only 2 pain doctors and one doesnt take my insurance or take cash and the other I got in a fight with because he called me fat (I'm 5'6 and weigh 155lbs, which is not fat to me) and he kept suddenly droping my dose then building me back up to a stronger dose and then suddenly drop me again, so I told him off. And I have been on strong narcotics since I was 19, I'm 25 now and wanted to know exactly how much pain I'm really in, and how much my brain was tricking me into thinking I was in. But in order for my insurance to pay for the Suboxone, which is over $700 out of pocket I had to do Intensive OutPatient groups and have learned so much about
dug addiction it made me want to learn alot more about
it and I hope to someday work in a Inpatient rehab. I've learned that reguluar people get addicted too and it surprises me who and what they really are, and not those street homeless people and teeenagers, they are teachers, and lawyers, and people with lots of money, just people you wouldn't expect it from. Anyways, thats my story. Ihope everyone has a LPD.
