My computer has been in shop for about a week.
It made my Chronic Pain worse.
I had no one to talk to.
It seems like a small thing
Oh, it wasn't. It was awful.
Pamela is glad to be back, but
can't say more due to pain.

Hi, Pamela,
Glad your equipment problems are fixed and you're back online. I know I fear computer or internet disruptions and not being able to connect with my online friends.

Hopefully, your life will stabilize now.

Ha! You and I do not have stabilized lives. It's not in our tea leaves, PaLady.
How are things going for you?
Pamela
Our new place is kinda arty but it's incredibly dark. There is a nice sky light but
it was covered with a piece of stained glass. It caused our livingroom to look like
a Catholic Church. All I needed was an alter & saint statuary. We had it removed for $75.00.
Now I find out that the stained glass was up there to protect the house from the
108 degree sun shine here in the valley. I also think the bare window is letting
the cold in. Sheeeee oooooot!

and It'll probably costs more than $75.00 to have it put back in,
hey, an alter and a saint statue and you could've charge entry fee's, eh
as a new art exhibit, maybe saint Francese of Asisi (sorry about spellin), you
know the patron saint of animals (ain't we all animals..lol)...
and then you'd have your own art gallery...lol...
Sure hope they kept the costs of your computer repairs down,
anyways ya was missed..
Take care and hugz...

Ahh, Pamela, sometimes I think my life is too stable - by that I mean STATIC. Slowing to a snail's pace on all levels and that's not a good thing.

I think Char's idea was cool about maybe charging entry fees! Hope that doesn't offend anyone, but geesh, people see pictures in grilled cheese sandwhiches and sell them on ebay for a ton of money. Oh, I'd better not go there. Again, don't mean to offend.

BTW I've learned the hard way when various equipment stops working the first thing is to unplug them for a few minutes and then try them again. I guess it's something about resetting them? Course it sounds like maybe you had an outlet that blew. I had tons of surges here. Have a surge protector but I'm not sure how much these thinigs work. And it seems the newer the appliance, the more sensitive it is to surges. I think the manufacturers do this deliberately.

Pam, Glad to see that you're back. Computers, like any piece of technology, are great when they work & awful when they don't!

Yes, Skeye, when the computer goes down in flames, I feel like I've lost my mind.

I like the idea of charging anyone who steps foot inside. Hmmmmm. My painting
is waaaaaaay out there. Fun stuff.

shakehead  Oh Pamela,

I have been in thre dsame boat..my 15 yo son accidentally dropped my laptop and broke the screen.  When I took it to the "Geek Squad" and asked them about a new screen all he did was put his hand up and tell me that he used to work for Dell and it wouldn't be worth it....My mother asked him if he could at least lok at it and he said NO...

Now, my mother was going to buy herself a laptop, one that she had looked at there earlier in the day, but NO, we went to Wal Mart and she bought one there, for 200 dollars less...

Ha, there you go Mr. I don't have time for you......

So, I am back on the internet after a week .....I am so glad to be back

Me.

The Geek Squad at Best Buy is just a bunch of teenagers, yeah they talk computer
but they don't know (Bad word here) about fixing one. Once the screen is broken on a lap top it's
pretty much gone, sorry to say..when getting a laptop add it on to your insurance in case it
goes bump a da bump in the night...
A desk top is easier to repair than your laptop...
Hugz....
