So I went up to see my pain Doc in W.Palm Beach yesterday after work. I walked in w/ my new neck brase on and all the girls who work there complimented me on my fine taste in wardrobe! When I was called in he, my Doc's partner asked me if Dr. Chang got it for me. No, I went to a neurosurgeon for a 2nd opinion after seeing Dr. Chang! He asked why? I told him that Dr. Chang, his buddy wanted me to have physical therepy and I didn't want to as I was afraid it would hurt me and maybe cause more damage than good. When he asked who I went to, I told him a dr. from Jackson Memorial Spine Center. Then told him, if someone was talking about cutting into his neck, wouldn't he want the best possable surgeon he could get? He told me Dr. Chang was an exillent surgeon! I told him, I'm sure he is but Dr. Tromly told me it was really good that I didn't have any physical T because it would have done more damage and caused much more pain! That shut him up really fast. He was speachless. Now I don't really like this guy too much as I gennerally see my Lady Doc there and have for over 5 years! Anyway, he said there was still problems finding Oxicodone and gave me another script for percocets. I told him that after he upped my methadone an extra pill a day when I complained my meds were not working last time I was there, I couldn't do it because they make me too sleepy! Then I asked him if I could take two perc's at the same time when things got bad and he said sure as long as you don't take over 5 a day! Let's see, I was taking 4 #15 Oxie's a day before and now 5 #10 perc's a day??? Something isn't right w/ his math!! 4 x 15mg = 60mg then 5 x 10mg = 50?? I guess maybe thats too much Tylonal maybe 5 x 325mg = 1,625mg??? Anyone know how much Tylonal you can take a day? I don't like taking it anyway and don't take 5 Perc's a day anyway so I guess it doesn't really matter unless I have a really bad day! At least I know I can take them and thats a good thing! Thanks Doc!
All for now, Big hugzzz for all my HWCP Brothers & Sisters & Sons & Daughters!
Big Bad Pete!

The max tylonal a person should have is 3.6g or 3,600 mg. This is not for long term use either. Just the number before a person starts having liver damage.

In the United States today, there is a pervasive tendency to treat children as adults, and adults as children. The options of children are thus steadily expanded, while those of adults are progressively constricted. The result is unruly children and childish adults. ~Thomas Szasz

Hey Pete, I didn't have any problem getting my oxycodone 15mg. this month. I read that there isn't a problem anymore...you should check the pharmacies in your area.

We are all in the same boat...unfortunatley it seems like it's sinking...

Hey Pete,
My PMD Dr. told me no more then 5 Norco 10/325 per day that =1625 mg. of tylenol if you do a google search they say 4000 mg is the max dose....our livers are already challenged with our pain formulations, so I'd say listen to the Dr. on this one for sure!

Dear Pete,
Sorry that you had such a time with the doctor. I always makes you feel sooooo secure in their decision making when this "game" goes on. I just hate when that happens and believe me, I've seen enough doc's in my time. Sometimes you just want to get up and walk out of the room. When I get a diag. I study all the material I can get my hands on so that I can ask the appropriate questions and know what I might be in for. When they find out that you are a nurse they treat you differently anyway. I hope that things get straightened out for you.
