Happy weekend to all!

You are sitting at your computer or laptop right now, a place many of us do every day. Look around you. What does your room look like?

I used to have a room all for me!! but... cry I keep giving it up to extra kids and/or grandkids. Once the last one left home I was able to have a small room to myself. But I have had very little time that someone else didn't need it. Currently the oldest grandson is using it as a bedroom again and will likely do so for several years to come as he's going to be going to college this fall. That WAS my I must add that all of those who have stayed with us were by invitation so I really can't complain. Well, I can but it likely won't do any good. tongue

So again I have moved my computer into our master bedroom. It's the only safe place for it. Around me right now is hubby all snuggled down in bed reading, a Golden Retriever asleep by the door that goes out on the deck, an orange long hair kitty curled up on my side of the bed just waiting for me to climb 'under' her. rolleyes She sleeps ON me all night no matter where I sleep. To my left is my sewing desk and piles and tubs of quilting fabric. I know my desk is under there somewhere. To my right is a small set of drawers with a my printer on top. You can't see the surface of anything for the stuff piled on top You have to squeeze in here to get to the bed. I absolutely hate the disarray and makes me crazy!!! smhair

BUT...we have an addition about 80% complete and 1/2 of it is just for ME! Ya, I know that when it comes right down to it I will likely get squeezed a bit but at least I won't be trying to set up a 10' quilting machine in the livingroom any more. smhair

So, what do you see looking around you???

Oh Chutzie, make me laugh. I am in my computer room. The entire upstairs belongs to me. If anyone saw my room they would think something is very wrong with me. Its a complete disaster in here. There are 4 boxes of Christmas ornaments to be packed away in the new plastic tubs that has slots for each ball. Several pairs of my shoes are hid in here somewhere. My boy Jakes is behind my chair snoring loudly and a couple of his stuffed animals are in the floor. My little street boy loves his stuffed toys. I see my training case that holds all of my makeup over there peeking out from under some papers. I have a ton of paper to send thru the shredder. I have at least 3 months of paid bills to be filed. I do have them separated and in order by date, they need to be filed in the cabinet. I have some magazines laying around that I have not looked at.

The real disaster is in the room next door. Its a play room and all of my Christmas decorations are piled up every where to be put away.  Cannot see the bed for all of the different kinds of wreaths. I should be shot for dragging all of it out. But it just needs to be organized badly and thats my goal.

Have a good weekend everyone...Susie

My computer room  10X12 is blue with Dark blue floor length drapes the computer desk is in the corner, the room is piled with boxes with books in them and my collection of Base ball caps, a metal filing cabinet  a paper shredder and three bookcases full of books mostly nursing and medical books and some computer books, and my Oxygen concentrator it makes so much noise I have to keep it in another room away from the bedroom!. This room is a mess, but I am in the process of sorting thru stuff to see what stays and what goes, what I will take and what my wife wants. Anyway there is just enough floor space that there is a small walk way from the door to the computer! This is the only room in the house that is kept this way, a constant mess! I hate looking at it, as usually I am fairly neat and at least half way organized! It is a constant reminder of all the stuff I have to do yet!
It will all get done soon!

Well, well, well, I am sitting in my recliner in the tv room with my laptop on my lap checking on healing well.  The 60 inch tv is in the wall unit straight ahead and "Law and Order" is on.  To the right is the couch, half full of stuff that I plan to clean up today, (folded clothes, toys, cookies books pillows, sewing patterns).

To the left is my hubby's recliner without hubby in it.  He is still sleeping in the bedroom.  Also to the left and ahead is a shelf full of Kelly's toys and baby Anna's swing, oh, and a small child's table and chairs for Kelly!

Also behind me and to the left is the kitchen.  That is fairy clean which is unusual, but the cleaning lady came yesterday, so it will be good for another three or four days or so. Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for letting me share!

In the good old days (last year) we had a HUGE house. The bonus room was were all the computers were. It was great!  Then my oldest decided to move out we decided to decrease the size of the house.

My kids love activities but hated chores, so much less to say "Huge house. Huge mess"  Now we live in a three bedroom 2 bath, thought it would keep the oldest from coming back but he still came back.  My dad still comes back when he fights with his girlfriend.  So the idea was shot out of the air and we are crammed sometimes.

Anyways.  We has 1 home computer its in my 15 yr old sons room.  Plus we have 3 laptops.  I can go anywhere but for some reason its in my chair in the livingroom.  Where there is constant noise, movement, beckering, laughing, and the dogs.  I love my livingroom, (plus my chair is so COMFORTABLE) (twice the size of my I get lost in the cushions) Plus I love my teenagers.  So I guess its my livingroom,  can't do it in the bedroom cuz that is way to uncomfortable my kidneys scream at me when I do that.  I don't like clutter so the livingroom is clean, crisp and I hate useless furniture so its spacious.  I am NOT a clean freak this is the only room I keep this  Otherwize all the other rooms all looked lived in.  I can't seem to do much heavy cleaning it hurts to much.

I am sitting on the couch in the living room with the laptop on my lap. In front of me is a coffee table with a bunch of magazines. Beyond that are 3 dog beds, a bunch of doggie toys, and one of my doggies chewing a bone. There's a TV, another small couch & a chair, and a few end tables as well. The couches are tan leather & the carpet is dark blue. Two of the walls are dark wood, one is plain white, and the other is stone, with a large fireplace. It is really much smaller than it sounds. Our house isn't too big.

All I can say is I'm glad I'm not the only one with clutter! I have my laptop on what should be a neat, relatively large, functional laptop desk. With lots of cubbyholes all stuffed with things I can't even remember. Stacks of papers and my copy of the turbo tax disk on either side of the computer. Two printers (one semi functional). Oh, my laptop sits on top of an older laptop which works on an old system and I should clear out the hard drive and get rid of it. An antique laptop - one of the first ever made by apple - is somewhere behinc all this mess! Wouldn't even connect to the internet. But to get to it I'd have to clear everything else out. A smaller laptop desk sits to my left, which is now totally stacked with mostly medical records I started to organize once upon a time. Gave up. A file cabinet and plastic storage bins - all full - in the left corner. My Pilates machine on the floor to my right. And bookshelves all around, loaded with books many of which shoud be sorted. No energy to do any of that.

Good thing I can still see the screen!
