Sounds like you have asthma triggered by your acid reflux, this also happened to me,(just not as bad)
when I forget to take my asthma and stomach medications.. Pain medications can also irritate the stomach to the point of
ulcers, so you might want to get an endoscope done to find out what's happening...
Hope the ER visit when good and I'd like you to finish your story...

Tony,
Going down the posts I just saw this after posting on the second one. I still don't get it? If you are upset no one answered your first post, please don't be. I have gone that rout before and it doesn't help anything. The people on this forum are in pain and don't always answer back when we think they will, it's no ones fault. I've been off the compurtor for days because I was unable to get access, when I came back today, I thought I'd see a post saying, where is Pete? but not one mention of me. I would have been upset before as I always try to write when one of my friends disapears from the forum suddenlly but it's no ones fault. These people here have their own lives which are filled w/ pain. They write here looking to find someone who will listen and show some compassion which they usually don't get at home. I know all about that!! Then when they realize how nice and carring the good people here are, they want to pay back and help others and thats such a good thing. I've found that anger does not belong here and absolutly no good can come from it! I've written some nasty things here in the past and was always forgiven but the only way I can prove I'm really sorry is to not do it again! If I'm mistaken in what I'm writing, I appologise.
Your GOOD BUDDY in Fla.

Continue normal thread as reply to Chartreux:

First to Pete: 27:1 says NO to continue Off-Topic post, so I complied with the wishes of the group. Had it been a normal post I would have continued, as I will now do to the point of clarifying that I did make it.

Now Chartreux:
I had an Upper GI 4 weeks ago, and go in for a comparative Upper GI this Friday.

The first one showed lots of nasty stuff going on.

Suffice the thread to say that I lived, although 9am-2pm in Emergency - with no pain meds since 9pm the night before and diabetes with no insulin and no food since 8pm the night before - wasn't great living.

Testing will continue once I can handle it.

Tony,

Isn't it great to have a beating heart! We don't thank it enough.

Pamela

PS UH, Pete, I did wonder where you were. I thought you had become suddenly so well that you no longer needed us.
How do I say this?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm? I'm glad you're back amongst the people who hurt. Somehow that sounds very wrong & very
right at the same time. Take care. :-)

Tony, I'm so glad you are OK!!! That long EM stuff is no fun. Did they cath you? When you say watching your heart beat it made me think of when I had a heart cath and could see my heart on the screen beating. Anyway, glad your OK and your lungs are too!
Pete
Pam,
You can't get rid of me that easy!!! I still have way too many other pains to complain about to Y'all! Besides, do you really think I would just leave w/o so much as a Goodbye?????? I guess you don't know me very well yet!!

No asthma. Just acid inside my lungs from coughing up and then inhaling deep.

Ouch! I've accidently done that a few times, it feels like your lungs are on fire! No Fun! Have they put you on acid reducer meds? I couldn't live w/o them. I started w/ Malox in high school then to prescription Donetol and phenobarbitol. Then prescript-Tagmet came on the market, it was a God send followed by Zantac. I was finally able to drink OJ after 25 years when they invented Prevacid 24hour! I've been taking them daily ever since. I was the BIG winner you know! I never lost a beer chugging contest when I was young and stupid!!! I won what my Doc called a hiatal hernia the size of Rhode Island! Yep, I'm the winner!
Hang in there Guy!!

Hi, Tony,
I just signed on for the first time today and this was the first post I read and have no idea what's going on, but I do wish you well.
Like Petes said, we're all in pain and I spend the majority of my day (and then some) in bed. So I'm not online all the time but in spurts.

I hope you're doing better. I take it from Pete's post there's another one down the list that may explain things more, but I haven't gotten there
yet. I know for myself I've been having a hard time of it lately. Seems like several of us have. And that makes it harder to
support eachother because we're down and out ourselves!

Pete - that's what happened about not posting to you. I have really been out of it myself for large chunks of time. And having a lot of stomach problems
so that seems to be the case here.

Anyway, well wishes and hugs to all,

PaLady

Pete:

I just wanted to let you know that someone did ask where you were, but it was part of another thread, it wasn't a post of its own. I know I was waiting and looking everyday for news on your surgery and how you were doing. I'm very glad that you are back and that you seem to be doing well.
