I tried to cancel this post, but the system won't let me. I assume because it is the first post in the thread. So I wrote 'canceled' on the first post.

Also, the first post of the other thread, but it also has a poll so not sure about either this thread or the other.

In General:

I asked for permission to post an off-topic thread about my ER Adventures yesterday.

I asked for that permission by vote of the people who come here.

27 people had read the thread, and only 2 had even bothered to vote; 1 yes 1 no.

I figured that it was pretty obvious how people felt about reading an off-topic thread such as the one I had started. So I inserted the basics of the process, and the ending so people knew that I had survived, and called it good.

And then the accusations started, which didn't give me much better concept of how I, or my thread, was received.

Normally, I just start right in. But this was off-topic and I felt that I should ask for permission. And if I didn't get it, then honorably erase the thread.

Especially since this was my second or third off-topic and I had not asked for permission previously.

Hi, Tony,
Gee, an ER trip doesn't sound off topic to me, but then I don't know the details. In general, I'd suggest just reading the rules and if your post doesn't violate one, then you're fine IMHO. You can also e-mail Chutz or Lindaloo if you've got a question about something you want to post.

Sometimes people just don't understand the poll thing. Please, try not to take it personally. And like Pete said, remember we're all dealing with our variations of CP/ meds issues, so it just may be lack of energy to post. I've been feeling that way a lot lately.

Hi Tony:

I am new around here, and I'm not sure if we have "met" formally or not, but I wanted to say that I have read a lot of your posts and they are always very informative, and very much appreciated as far as I am concerned. I'm sorry about whatever happened to upset you, please give us another chance.

I'm still confused.  I have only been off and one the last two days.  Those 12 hour days at work wear me out.

I didn't even see the poll.  I just hope no one is upset.  I really like this board its helped me out more than anyone could know the last couple weeks.
