Do you hide small, precious items somewhere that others won't find them? Maybe a piece of jewelry or a few coins you cherish? A favorite hiding place is with your 'unmentionables'! Oh dear....I mentioned them!

What do you have hiding in your underwear drawer? I promise it's just between you and me and I won't tell a soul....promise! smhair I have a pair of gloves my son gave me when he was very young and since he's gone now they are very special. Also is a slip I wore under my wedding dress. And one small zip bag of replacement buttons for a sweater. How boring is that?!!?

Doesn't anyone have anything more exciting in their underwear drawer? Or have you ever FOUND something in your mother's drawer when you were younger??? huh, huh, huh??? tongue

I don't have anything exciting in my drawer but my mom used to hide things she took away from us in her unmentionables drawer. I guess she figured we'd be decent enough not to dig under her panties to find our toys -- well, she was W-R-O-N-G on that one. :) We'd just grab a hand towel to keep our grubby hands from leaving evidence against us & rummage through them until we'd find our beloved possessions. Sometimes my sister & I would be clever enough to play with our toys & then put them back exactly as we found them. My brother wasn't so cunning & would always get caught. lol :)

ah, the good ol' days. :)

I am reading your post and just cracking up, laughing! Anyway I would never think to hide any thing in the underwear drawer, never had any thing to hide from the wife and anyway she would usually do the wash and fold the stuff up and put it away. Never have thought about that before I guess. Anything that needed to be kept from the kids, the wife alway took care of it.

You know a few of us in our family were talking about this at Easter. We were talking about how some of our older relatives would hide things to keep them safe.

The treasure I found after my mother died was her first wedding band (Dad bought her a bigger one in later years) attached to a wash cloth with a safety pin! I was sorting things for the house sale and nearly put all the towels and such in a pile to be sold. I was floored when I found it - and so thankful that I did!

My husband is the squirrel, he has a beautiful old box with his grandad's shirt pins (before buttons were sewn on) They are mother of pearl and so delicate, then the other day I discovered he had a box of our kids teeth!!! Some tooth fairy, huh! I had to laugh at the mixture of grossness and sentimentality!!!

You are never going to believe what is in my underwear drawer. --- my nitrous oxide mask!! I put it there because it smells like vanilla and I know it won't get ruined there. Plus, it helps my things smell good. How's that for weird??

For special things, I hide them in my wooden jewelry box that my husband gave me for our first anniversary. It has inlaid wood and it of a high gloss. He bought it in England and sent it to me from there. I had come back from England early, pregnant with our first daughter, so we weren't together for our anniversary in July.

Thanks for all the lovely topics every day, dear Chutz.

My hubby used to hid his smokes in his undey drawer, big mistake as I do the laundry,
so each time I found them, I grab two cigs tear them apart (break them down, whatever!)
and place the tabacco around my roses (tabacco is good for roses, really) and he finally caught on
and is hiding them in the car.........I have books (2) in my undey drawer, hehehe...

If one were to look way back under all my undertrousers there would be some baggies with red papers inside with writing on them in Itallian. Inside the baggies under the papers are rebuild kits for the 40mm Delorto excellorator pump carborators which are on my primo 1978 Itallian Racin Red 900cc Ducati Desmo sitting out in my garage with pillows and blankies all over and around it! I bought it new in 1978 and disconected the speedo cable the first year I owned it so the milage is somewhere around 7 or 8 grand, I don't exactly remember. I swear that I'll ride it again some day when my list of broken body parts get fixed! I have been collecting all the parts for years to make her fly again. My younger brother, the blues musician who lives in New Orleans (Google Jumpin Johnny Sansone, he looks just like me only thinner!) has been trying to get her for his collection of Itallian motorcycles for years but He ain't getting her! Both my son's want her. My oldest son Joe rides a 1100cc Kawasaki out in Washington State when he's not out at sea which is much faster and handles much better than her. He said he really wants her but so does Pete Jr. I really wish neither rode motorcycles! But what can I say, I've warned them over and over! They are grown now and will make up their own minds, right? I can't stop them! I'm sorry, this is way off topic, I think??? Anyway, thats what's in my underwear drawer!

I don't think it's off topic! But I admit it is unique!!

p.s. Would you guess I used to ride those two wheelers myself! (well, mine were more like 250 Honda's)

Hi! This is a great topic! I wish I had something to add, but I don't hide anything in my underwear drawer except for a lighter. But, my DH knows I smoke. I just hide them all over the house just in case I can't find one b/c I'm often careless.

GREAT topic though.
