My Dear Family,
Sorry I haven't been around much lately, I've been very busy and only have time to check in once a day if that. Thanks so much for all yor support and kind words y'all wrote to me in my "Finally did it" post. It really means a lot to me as quiting my job after working for so long was huge and a very hard descision for me to make!
On Friday my boss told me that my replacement John would be starting Monday and I wasn't sure if that ment I was finished or would still have to come in because he is so cheap, I wasn't sure he would want to pay two people to do one job! I e-mailed him and asked what he meant and did he think John was ready to take the rains by himself as he did step in while I was out with surgery and again twice after hurting myself at work. His reply was "Yes please!" Meaning he wants me there to train John this week> Oh Poop! I was hoping he would say I was done! Oh well, what's another week?
I told Y'all I was planning a fishing trip this weekend but I didn't go. The weatherman said it would be raining over the entire state all weekend and most of this week and he was right about this weekend! We're floating away down here in S.Fla!!! Luckily I haven't had any flooding around me except for the streets but God forbid we get a tropical storm or an early season (the "H" word) I don't like saying it as I think it's bad luck but one of those big bad storms that circle counter clockwise! Anyway, we rescheduded the trip for next weekend which will be so much better since I DON"T HAVE TO WORK THE FOLLOWING MONDAY!!!! There will be no Sunday traffic to fight for hours on the Fla. Turnpike and no getting up at 4am on Monday !!! Heck, if the fish are biting good, maybe we'll fish two days in a row if my body can handle it! My hands blow up like baloons after reeling in too many!!
As for the on going pain front, I kind of overdid it yesterday in the yard trying to get finnished before the storms arived from the southwest! I cut my lawn which has been growing at light speed and started to do some tree trimming for the "H word" season which started June 1st!!!! I really shouldn't have done that!!! My neck is a mess this morning! I was using one of those saws on a pole cutting overhead limbs which I should know better! I again went too fast as I didn't want to be standing under a tree with a long metal tipped pole in my hands when the lightning started!!! My right knee is still bad from when I stepped in that *^()@#!! hole at work and fills up w/ water dayly! And since that was my good working knee, over using my bad knee has caused it to start nagging me like a bad Mother-in-law! With both knees not working properly you can just guess what it has done to my lower back problems! I'm so sorry to be whining to Y'all but I'm a freaking mess and I don't want to say anything about it to my wife right now!!! She is so happy I'm finally coming up to live with her even if I'll still have to spend time back here working on the house to get it ready for sale. I've been trying to do the Father John thing, just work and not pay attention to all the pain my body! I just can't do things in a hurry like yesterday when the Fire & Brimstone cometh!!! El Stupido!!!
Well kids, I have so many things to do and I see that it's after 8am EST so I must go. I am going to try to do some posting to others later today, something I have been neglecting so much lately and it's really bothering me posting about myself when I could be helping others!!! Later my little Dudetts and Big Dudes, Ill catch Y'all on the rebound!!!
Your "F,U,D,B,C,S,H" Fiend,

I can't post much but wanted you to know I'm thinking of you and am so glad you are leaving that place, but I do hope you go a little more slowly at taking care of things around the house. You and White Beard and Fatherjohn must be triplets!

I did see some of the flooding on the news. Glad it wasn't right where you are!

Take care - maybe you can fish from your house! LOL

Hi Pete,

I'm sorry that you didn't get to go fishing this weekend, but it sounds like you are enjoying your time off anyway! I hope the rain stops for you soon! Enjoy your LAST WEEK at work with wacko x-boss!!

Pete, Sorry to hear that the fishing trip was delayed but as you know, even fish don't like storms. I am sure that you will not over due it at work this week since isn't this the week that John works and you watch and only help when he gets into trouble.
I can see Pete now just sitting back in his chair, watching as John does his best and you chuckle a little as you know that he has much to learn, more than can be taught in a week. I tell my students each quarter at orientation that each student will at some point think they can do my job better than me. Take an extra long lunch break while you're at it to make up for those days that you worked through yours. That right Pete, how did I know. I hope this is one of your best weeks at work and certainly the shortest. We will talk later about Seattle.

Hi Pete:

Wacko EX-boss must sound soooo good!!!

Every time he walks by you should give him a countdown of how many hours you have left (HaHa), maybe it will make him so mad he'll send you home early!

Take it easy at work and at home!
