Do you have some little 'ritual' or 'habit'? I think we all do. I'm not talking OCD or anything like that but some small thing that you just have to do or do a certain way. For example..I can NOT go to bed without brushing my teeth and it has to be the last thing I do just before climbing into bed. Can't do it earlier in the evening or it's just not right... smhair I also have a habit of unplugging the toaster oven if I leave the house. I have no idea why but I just don't trust that darn thing...lol tongue And I can not wear shoes without sox...ewweee...icky! Even summer dress sandals have to have knee-highs at least.

Aren't we funny creatures. Non of these things matter much to hubby but he has his funny little things too...and YOU?? Come on.....fess up. I know you have something funny you're thinking about right now. The silly police are not going to come after you but it will put a smile on your face... smilewinkgrin

OK so I live in Pajamas. Naturally, when I go out of the house, I have to change into clothes. Well, the minute I walk back into the house, I have to get into my PJ's again for comfort. It's just something I gotta do. All of a sudden I'm uncomfortable in my clothes in my own home and have to get them off. Isn't that funny?? I have to take my shoes off too. I love the comfort of my own home and the temperature inside my house. It is nice and cool and I love that.

Thanks for letting me share, Chutzie.

Believe in yourself.  Be kind to fellow humans and animals.  Take time to smell the flowers and the coffee.
And by all means, when you are down, ask me for help.  I will be there.

You are getting prettu personal here. This is a family forum. Just kidding. This one drives my family crazy. When I talk on the phone, which is most of the time, I walk around the house and more everything that is not glued down. Pencils and papers on the counter. Nic Nacs etc all have to be adjusted. It drives them crazy. If I am sitting at my desk, I have to touch everything on my desk and they say not once or twice but multiple times. I think they are exagerating. I have to take a quick break here and move some things on my night stand.

Fatherjohn lolololol that is just so funny. My funny little habit is watching my hubby with all his insane habits. I know this sounds strange but I want to catch him someday to prove to myself that he ISN'T OCD..lol

Everything about himself is mapped out. When he gets up in the morning to when he goes to bed. Getting ready for bed is what I watch. Take the dogs out, lock all the doors, put all his clothes in order for the morning, brings a clean towel out of the closet for his shower. Lines everything up for his hygiene, toothbrush, toothpaste, trimmers, razor and so on. He removes all his pillows and put them in a certain order and finally climbs into bed. But not done yet he will almost fall asleep then he turns over and sets the alarm clock not once but twice. He asks me what time I need and ITS ALWAYS THE SAME TIME but hes got to ask.

I know I'm twisted but I'm waiting for him to get unorganized. Maybe just not get the towel out? Just a natural voyeur..lol

So this is crazy, I have many....all the cushions and pillows on my sofa have to be placed just so before I go to bed.....in the morning as soon as my husband gets up the bed has to be made, never ever leave the house with the bed unmade!  No matter what I am wearing comfortable or not the minute I return home...off go my shoes and pants and on go my black most softest comfy shorts...summer/winter no matter do not feel comfortable till they are on me!

     Dear Chutz,
I have given this alot of thought and I think everything right now is a routeen. I'm sure it is only because I have small children. But everything is done about the same every day, from breakfeast buffet table to bed time story.
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

Linda, I have the EXACT same habit as you regarding PJ's & shoes!

Lets see... I have to fix my pillows before I go to bed - one under the head (although it halfway rests on a second pillow). Then I have one between my legs (otherwise, for whatever random reason, my hips hurt & now, I just find that I can't sleep without that pillow), and one under the covers, on the other side of the bed, in case I turn over, that way I don't have to drag the pillow with me. Then I have these 2 little bead filled "moshi" pillows & one of them goes under the arm of the shoulder that is not touching the bed (I sleep on my sides), and he other goes under the hand of that same arm, otherwise the "hanging" of my arm over my side puts stress on my ligaments & I wake up in pain. I also need to have either a bottle of water, or a bug glass of ice water (depending on where I am - school, or home) next to, or in my bed, as my meds make me thirsty.

I tend to adjust piles of things so that everything is straight & organized looking, even if it's not. When I get up in the morning, I always turn on my computer (even if I don't go on it until hours & hours later), although I usually at least check my email quickly before I run out the door. I also usually eat some kind of fruit before I go to bed (I know, you aren't supposed to eat that close to bedtime! But otherwise, sometimes I wake up hungry & by morning, I am so hungry that I am nauseous. Although, that hasn't been much of a problem lately, as I haven't been eating much at all, since I am so nauseous.

Oh, here's a funny one. When I eat oranges, I usually eat 3 at once. I first cut them into halves & then cut out all the pulp & then squeeze the oranges to get the juice. Then I put it all in a big bowl or a big glass & eat it. Also, with pomegranates, I take out all the seeds & put them in a bowl before I eat them. My family always makes fun of me for these things; especially the oranges.
