Hi Hara, I'm sorry no one has been replying. I have both hips and lower back at me, plus some sort of nerve trapped from the swelling in my right hip thats causing numb spots in my right leg. But I suffer from RA so mine is all linked to the dreaded word "inflammation". I have had cortisone injected in both hips twice now, it gives me relief for about
three weeks each time and it is a glorious three weeks. I've been told to take smaller steps, no striding out, and use heat packs. Plus when I'm standing concentrate on stomach muscle clenching and bottock clenching to try and strengthen my core muscles. As for pain I can only empathise, I'm aching constantly and walking is awful sharp spears, but I'm sick right now, have the flu so it doesn't help. Hard to get comfortable in bed too. So I can only say, you're not alone. I'm suppose to be on water PT but have only managed two visits so far!!! It seems very supportve and the warm water is very soothing but once I start moving the pain is back with a fury! But it may be wort a try. Best of luck, golitho
