Since this is a holiday weekend in the US, an at least it's the weekend everywhere, do you enjoy going out to eat on the weekend or whenever your schedule allows? Most people have a few favorite restaurants and frequent the same few because you know the quality and what items you like there. Makes sense to me! But others love to keep trying new places as it adds to the excitement and fun. So...are you a restaurant eater either regular or fast food? What kind of foods do you like? What style of restaurant do you prefer and are you adventuresome or go for the reliable places?

I'm going to let you share your thoughts first since I'm not much for eating out. So what are your thoughts on restaurant eating! idea

I don't eat out much either, mostly because we just cant afford it. But when we do go out I like to go to the Roadhouse BrownDerby Steak House, they have a house salad that I just love, between that and their steaks and steamed veggies I could eat there all the time. My hubby on the other hand would rather go to McDonalds, or Arbys or any place that we can pick it up and bring it home, lol.

on the weekends, we love restaurants such as Texas Roadhouse or Saltgrass or an Italian place like Johnny Carino's
or Zio's and on sometimes we do Chili's as that's my daughter's favorite place, but Texas Wing Stop is a great place too...
Now on the weekdays I usually cook something up, like on Thursday we had hot roast beef sandwiches on croissants with
the store bought potato salad. we try to stay as far from McDonald's as possible as they are so greasy.........
Now Smoochie, Arby's is okay thought.....

We don't eat out often anymore, $$$ but used to go out every weekend and try different Restaurants!  Phoenix is loaded with GREAT places, alot of chains but some really really great Mom and Pop, Italian and Mexican Food Restaurants!  I would say Cheesecake Factory offers the biggest menu and lots of fresh delightful salads, love a place called Masto's which has excellent Steak and they have a Beefsteak Tomato with Bleu Cheese and onion dish that is to die for!!
My very favorite item is a Salad, crispy, cold and with lots of add yummy!
And in days before PM's I loved to try different Martini's!

So, Laurie, tell us...

Get to have time with the hubby because the kids don't talk during the meal...or because you don't bring them with you when you go out to eat, so you wouldn't hear them if they were talking?

I do not eat out at resturants except on rare occasion. We do, however, have "Mommy's Night Off". One day a week I don't cook. I prefer that they get take out or delivery of some kind...

My husbands eye brows and arm hair took sooo long to grow back in from the last kitchen fire  smhair   *sigh*

Doesn't any one like Sea food? I mean I love steak and I love it on the Grill, Ribeye is tops in my book, but the Cheesy biscuits at at the place where the Lobster is Red and the shrimp scampi is waiting to have those cheesy biscuits dipped in the left over garlic butter, or scallops on a skewer with a peach bourbon glaze ( or something like that on it) mmmmmmmmmmm finger licking good! I don't go their often but I do go once in awhile, even if it is by myself! Oh and I do like those Garlic bread sticks with the unlimited salad at the Garden of Olives. Oh heck I just like all different types of food, and all types of different restaurants!
