Sorry I haven't been on for probably a week. I wanted to but could barely get out of bed. I am dealing with all my pain from the other medical issues in my life
and as of Monday I was told about this H. Pylori in my stomach. The meds are making me sicker that the bacteria in my stomach. I am at the point of not eating, and yet I have to force eat something to take the massive horsepills that I take for this bug. Has anybody ever had this before? Does it ever go away as I have had it before; just a couple of years ago? It's no picnic.
I go see my PM Specialist Tuesday and I am going to spill out and be truthful about my other pain issues. The 5/320 vicodin is not helping and it is so hard to walk anymnore with all this degenerative joint disease. You all were right about just being honest about the pain, and not trying to hide my pain. I called PM Spec. last week to see what can be done, and I couldn't get in till Tuesday but was thrilled to take this date.
I have been reading some of the messages from the other people who suffer pain, and I can relate to some of their feelings about how people treat us. This kind of cruelty is what made me frightened to death to tell doctors how much pain I suffered. Therefore, I suffered with pain for over a decade, and when I did get medicine for pain, I was afraid to let the doctors know it wasn't helping. I too was afraid I would be called a druggie. Also, I see a lot of you all have the Policystic Kidney Disease. I have that too, plus the uric acid stones throughout my kidneys. When in a flair with that, I actually get sick. My question is: what, if anything, can be done about this? Do you have to wait till it progresses to kidney failure? I was sent to a Urologist over a year ago because I was in the ER with blood in my urine, fever, pain. Unfortunately, I couldn't see the Urologist for the "nurse" telling me it was nothing and sent me back to my PCP with a paper that said I had Renal Disease. Well, when I had an ultrasound last week for this stomach thing, the radiologist said the cysts are getting bigger. (have already had one big kidney surgery)
Any feedback would be appreciated. I am so disgusted right now. I missed the Koffee Klatch last week and wanted to get into that so badly, but was getting pretty sick then.
