Does anyone else here have what I call Electrical Shocks that go through my body. It feels like I'm being bitten all over at times. It's driving me crazy. I'm scared to tell my DR because he'll just want to set up the referral to shock my limbs. I get that enough as it is right now. I wonder if it's coming from my neck or my lower back. I'm in pain and ready to push my cane up some neighbors .........! They are too freaking loud.

Suggestions?

Never had anything that went through the entire body but before my neck fusion my left arm would buzz (that's how I explained the feeling) when I would push anything or have it in a wrong position for too long. The buzz went from my shoulder all the way to my fingers. Must have been a pinched nerve cause it stopped after my surgery.

I get that across my upper chest and shoulders, especially when I start gagging and wretching, which is cause by bad discs in my neck. But not my whole body. You do need to talk with your Doctor about it, and soon that is not normal. So Please don't delay. I do wish you the best!

Hara, anxiety can cause 'electrical shock like feelings or buzzing sensations throughout the body'.  I got this description from the Anxiety Centre.  I get the shock-thing and buzzing when I'm stressed.  Your neighbors may have put an extra load of stress on your body.

Hara, I think you need to tell your doctor this. No, I agree it isn't "normal". He needs to be aware of this. It does sound nerve related, except that it is going throughout your entire body. I definitely think lt needs to be evaluated. Please call your doctor Monday. How long has this been going on?

I can't remember how long this crap has been going on. I might be sitting on a siatic nerve also. Like my Chiropractor says," your back is mad at you." I said, "No really?!"....lol

I can't wait for my MRI to get approved. Then I can have my appointment.

Hara,
I know you trust your chiropractor, but they have limits. Sometimes they can make things worse. I wonder if anything in the adjustments you're getting could be aggravating a problem that needs to be dealt with by a different specialist.

Like everyone else has said, you do need to tell your doctor. Even if it is anxiety, because you may be able to get some help for that. Keeping this from your doctor is not going to help you at all.

Hugs,

nono Hi, Hara. YEs i have had shocks in my body down to my toes for 2 yrs. Then i saw a massage therapist. After about 3 wks they let up alot!! I believe they come from my neck... I had am mra checking for M.S. But luckly it was normal. I noticed when i go up and down stairs, or the day i was trying to rush to my car from down pour. I started getting them again, but only mild in my head now. I haven't had the whole body shocks in a year or so now..But like everyone said, you don't want to keep something like that from your doc. That could be anything confused I'm still waiting to see about mine this week again with the neurologist turn He wouldn't want to blame himself from the surgery of my neck. mad I'm just so glad it isn't M.S. ( multiple sclerosis).

Goodluck to you. Laura wink

You might want to google L'hermittes sign. It might be what you are experiencing, it might not. I had this a few years ago when I was first diagnosed with MS. It can be caused by other stuff as well. I also agree with PAlady. Please be careful of excessive spinal adjustments. Chiroprtactics is out of the question for me. I have spinal lesions (dead spots of damage on my spine caused by diesease inflammation) These places can be exacerbated by pressure or manipulation.

I'm not doing any Chiropractor stuff right now. I'm waiting until after my MRI. Oh and I might have found a new doctor.

Hey Hara, first I want to say I think your funny. I don't know if I'm just reading your posts in my own 'funny' way, but you seem to have a similar sense of humor.

Anyways on to your post.....Hmmm, MRI thats gonna be fun. Is it just for your neck or your whole bod. I get the electric shocks more in my face cuz of my T. Neuralgia but I use to have like hard electric jolts run throughout my body. Those use to scare the crap out of me. I would be relaxing watchin' t.v. or reading and them BAM! my leg or half my body would jump. I do get like itchy, creepy crawly sensations on my back (thank you back scratcher!) and on my arms/shoulders. Oooo, had one just now! Aaaa, scratch ever so gentle, cuz I'm so sensitive to touch too.

I see a chiro when I can as well. I'm not made of money so only when my budget allows.

Be careful with that cane...you might not want it back from wherever your gonna shove it. :D

Take Care,
HUGS,

Binki, I'm glad you get a smile and or laugh out of my postings. I wasn't trying to be funny but that's ok. Sometimes I say things and it sound really funny. I haven't had any shocks today thank God.

I'm glad my next door neighbors are gone because there is no loud thumping. I can always get another cane, but I'm thinking about getting a walker. I love it when people open doors for me when I have my cane....hehehehe
