For those who are interested...grandson Jaksyn was born this morning at 4:55 with daddy on one side and me on the other. It's such a miracle to witness a new life. And for those who are interested in some details...mommy went into serious labor about 2:00 AM, we left home about 3:30 AM, got her to the hospital and into a room/bed and she started the final stages of labor about 4:40. The anesthesiologist showed up quick with the epidural but baby was beginning to crown. Mom was a bit shocked having to go 'natural' but it only took another 10-15 minutes and we were holding a wondrous baby boy.

Jackson Richard is 6# 2.3 oz and 19" long with lots of long, dark hair and the most beautiful skin. I came home and slept for a bit but now grandpa and I are taking big brother, 3 years old, in to meet is new best friend.

Thanks for all of the prayers and good wishes. I know it made a difference!

:-)  Congratulations!! :-)   I needed to hear some happy news today and a new, healthy grandbaby (or any baby for that matter!) is the best kind of news! All the best to you - enjoy every minute. And breathe in lots of that "new baby scent" - it's like breathing in all that is beautiful and wonderful in this world! BTW, how many grandbabies do you have? And I really like the name Jackson (or is it Jaksyn?)

Thank you so much for the sweet words and thoughts. You are all so very special in my life and I do thank you for your kindness. And the side bonus was that I didn't feel an ounce of pain when the adrenaline was running full force. There has to be something there....hmmmm... But once I returned home the tiredness and pain returned. But watching and helping him into this world was worth anything and everything.

Thanks again!

Yes...soon, but we left the camera at the hospital because "daughter's" camera pooped out just before the delivery date and right now all of the picture are in that camera. She should be home tomorrow so hubby will have them on the gallery as soon as we get them back.

Thanks for asking!
Hugs!!~~

Chutzie, I am so happy for you. I knew you were awaiting his arrival with much anticipation!! It was wonderful that you were there to see him come into this world. I am sure it was an experince you will never forget. I think that is great. I would love to see a picture of your new little angel!!! What did big brother think of him? It is truly a time of celebration!!! I hope that you are able to rest some and will be feeling better yourself soon.

Anice...

Thanks for asking about 'big' brother. The moment he saw him he was just thrilled! We had taken him shopping first for new shoes and boots, which he loves and had one of his favorite treats...M&M's...lol Wanted to make his day special too. He also has a new bedtime book waiting.

But when he saw his baby brother he smiled from ear to ear and giggled. Then he saw brothers toes and said, "we need to play piggies with his toes." A bit later he snuggled on the bed on mom's right side and baby brother was on mom's left side. He reached over and held brothers hand and just snuggled in. I think that was probably the best moment for mommy and daddy was near tears with joy. Papa was watching, and taking pictures too. That was a magical moment!

Thanks for letting me share. Hard to type with eyes leaking happy tears.

Chutie, That is just about the sweetest thing I think I have ever heard. I almost had tears too!!! What a precious moment. It is those sweet moments like this that makes it all right. Leaking happy tears sure felt good, didn't it. I'm sure you all will always remember these memories. And little Jackson will be told all about this one day...and will love every minute of it. It is funny to think about how much joy a little one coming into the world brings to ones family. It is priceless.

Ohhhh!!!! Congrats..how wonderful!

Sounds like big brother is going to be great with the new baby.

I just want to say that I know it means the world for you to be there with them as they bring new baby into the world. My Mom sometimes doesn't realize how much I need her, and appreciate the things she does...so just in case you are an "underappreciated" parent (aren't we all..lol) I would tell you....you are amazing.
