Hi everyone, I know this will be hard to read.

But I do want to let you know what is going

on. My laptop is broken, literally. I only have

half of a screen... I guess I won't be around

as much as before for awhile. Well, I  guess

I'll only be here in halves!!! I guess some-

one dropped it. Half of the screen has little

horizontal lines and in the top right corner

there is a big black shatter spot in the

inside.

I am sorry this is so short accross. I can't

help it... I do hope everyone has a good

nights' sleep. I sure will miss all of you. I

feel like crying...You all have been like a

lifeline to me for all these months...I am

really upset about this. I don't have the

money to get it fixed or buy a new one.

Love to all,

Anice

I can read your post just fine! and as

long as people only type there replies

using half screen you should be albe to

read them on your computer. I do wish

you well, what type of computer do

you have? Maybe you can just get a

new screen monitor for it. Check on line

Good Luck to You anice

Anice,
Half a screen is better than
no screen! And like WB said
I can read your post fine!
I actually have a small laptop
with a much smaller screen than
many of you so sometimes
I have a tough time reading
the posts that start to
stretch out.

Tell us if you can read these
posts ok!

Hugs!!!

Yes, I can read these posts. Thank you
so much. I have really been upset about
this. It is kind of silly to be upset about
a computer. But it was about the only
enjoyment that I had...

I'll have to call and see how much a new
screen monitor will be. I can't check on
line. I'll have to do it the old way...
Maybe it isn't as expensive as I think
it is. I'll check into in the morning.

PaLady, thank you for the hug. I sure
did need one.

Anice,
It's not silly feeling so attached
to the computer - because it's
our connection to our family
here! I think often that I don't
know what I'd do if my old
dial up connection failed or
I couldn't afford to pay for
some kind of connection to
the internet to get to HW.
Or heaven forbid my computer
died (not impossible - it's old!).
I have no idea how I'd get a new
computer. Heck, I'm still trying
to get my toilet replaced!!
But I would miss this place
so, so much. It's what keeps
me going. So it's not silly
what you're feeling!

I know when I bought this
little apple laptop it was
from someone on ebay
I used to buy from but
he sometimes lets me
buy from him directly.
He's an authorized apple
dealer and works for a
school district so gets
all kinds of computers
and this one was fairly new.
Someone spilled something
on it. I trust his skill in
fixing it and so I bought it
about 4 years ago for
$400 and normall this
would be a lot more.

Anyway, ask around and
see if you have any friends
who can either replace the
screen or at least take a
look at it and tell you what's
wrong. Then maybe you can
find someone if you start
asking around work who's
getting rid of their computer
to buy a new one. Some
people have to have the latest!!
I've also bought computers that
way from a friend who gets
rid of his every couple of
years.

So keep searching!!

BTW how are you feeling?

Hugs,

(((((Anice)))))).
Just what you need, right?!
I hope you can find some
way to fix your computer!
