We alway had midnight mass at 9 PM at our little country parish, and then we would have people from our church come over to our house for a little Christmas cheer and snacks ( horsey doovers!) and such, it was always was such a nice time.
Earlier on, in the evening before mass I alway cooked steaks out on the grill ( usually T-Bones or Rib-Eyes) ( even in the snow and cold!) and then we would have them with salad an potato, and turn off all the lights except the christmas lights and we would eat our dinner by candle light! with a glass of wine! That has been a family tradition that my family always did when I was a child living at home and I have always carried on the tradition! I wonder what this Christmas will be like? ( that is a sobering thought!)
