What happened with the forum on Thursday and Friday??? Did anyone else go through withdrawal??? I guess the server was having issues but they got things reloaded and cleaned out so we're back up and running but there are lots of us out here who need our Healing Well fix for the day! shocked

Once you got connected to the internet....did you ever have your computer or connection go whack-o and couldn't get online??? smhair smhair That's a frightening feeling. Almost as bad as running out of chocolate! <shudder> mad OK, I'm calming down What did you do without your connection? Were you constantly checking to see if you could get back online? Did you walk around aimlessly mumbling to yourself? Or did you find you had more free time to get things done or to take time for a hobby you like? Does dropping out scare you?

When we go away for a few days I rarely get online anywhere. I do miss the people here but otherwise I'm fine. Now hubby is another story. We were just gone for 2 weeks and I packed the old laptop we have. Its travels with us so we can download the camera mostly. We can also get online if needed. But that wasn't enough for hubby...nope, the man brought his entire PC set-up. <shaking head> But he was happy and he knew that none of the grandkids would be on it in our Last year they kids slammed my computer. It was hosed with a virus among other things.

So, how do you get along when you're "unplugged"?

Good topic, Chutzie! I just got back connected to the forum this evening. Strangely, I've been out of the house a lot yesterday and today, or I would have been going bonkers!! Definite withdrawal. But I had appointments and shopping and a birthday party this evening. And earlier today it was storming here so my old dial up connection has been acting up. Even had trouble signing on as my phone line gets static when it rains hard. Double whammy with the forum down! I couldn't get online to even see if it was back up!!!

Hopefully, we can all get our fix now and settle back down!!!

Glad we're back!

Well as strange asa this is I was typing a rply to thispost this morning around 2 or 3 AM or so and when I hit the submit button, everything got wierd and I found I had lost my internet connection, it went out completely and now at 10 something in the morning it finally came back up, but my post was lost in the process! Anyway I am definitely one who feels lost without the internet! I didn't use to be that way, but after I started getting involved the forums, first the sleep apnea support forum and then when Chutzie introduced me into this Healing Well Chronic Pain forum ( which I am forever gratefull!) I honestly feel lost when I lose my internect connection, it is like I have been denied connect with my friends and family and it leaves me with a very empty feeling! Anyway I really felt that way last night or shall I say early this morning, I was having a very difficult night, (pain wise) and I was up most of the night, and as I have said many times, misery loves company but unfortunately with my internet service out I could not share my misery nor have company! It was a very long night!Anyway I am glad it is back up.
