Good morning to all my good friends!
I hope everyone will have a fine pain free day today! Well, I'm off to the great white north again. My 82 y/o snowbird Mom is freezing up in the north Jersey Mts. and wants to come down to the Fla. sunshine early this year. She usually stays up there untill Nov. but she said that there was hardly any summer up there this year and she's sick of the cold weather. So it's time for Pete to jump on an airliner and go fetch her. I was just up there less than a a month ago so the drive back will feel pretty routine except for her two crazy (but nice) ***** cats who don't like the long ride. I will be driving south today to check on my sick friend who is staying in my other house today (the one I can't sell) and fix a couple things that have broken here.
Then my 4 monthly doctors apts. are tomorrow and I'll be flying out on Thursday. My Mom still lives in S.Fla. so after driving her down, my truck will be there waiting for me so I can drive back up here sometime next week. I will not have any internet access while gone so I'll see Y'all sometime late next week!
Love All > Y'all,
Your Big Buddy Pete!
PS> I know I haven't been posting much lately and haven't welcomed any newbee's at all> My bad but we have been so busy getting our new barn ready for the horses to come home, there has been little free time. The good news is that we brought them home last Sat. on a full moon (they stay outside nights) and I haven't seen my wife so happy in a really long time!!! The barn took a big chunk of our savings but seeing my wife this happy, it was worth every penny! I'm happy too, very sore but happy!
When I was young, I broke almost evry bone in my body and I'm paying a heavy price now but I'm still here and so glad to see my two sons grow up to be fine young men. They are both serving in the US Navy, My oldest is serving on a aircraft carrier but is currently in advance radar school. The other is a Asault Ship "The Jaws of the Fleet" somewhere in the Persian Gulf w/ 2,000 Marines aboard. I am one very proud (what they call me)> Big Pops!
