The pharmacy pamphlet says that you shouldn't drink while taking Savella.  But let's say you are going out drinking one night, is it ok just to refrain from taking Savella that day?  Or is it a drug that you shouldn't even miss one or two doses?

Hi Lakemurray,

I would recommend calling the Pharmacist or your Dr.   They would be the experts to consult with this question.

My husband started that med a few months ago and quit after a few weeks the side effects drove him crazy. Then two weeks ago his doctor put him back on it. So far hes still trying to adjust. No you can not miss a dose.

Drinking I don't really have an answer for you other than my hubby has had a few drinks on it. I'm not saying hes making the right choice but hes a big boy. I haven't seen any unusual effects when a beer is thrown in the mix.

But I would call the pharmacy on this one. When you get the drinking warning it can cover from intensifiying med to just plain old dangerous to mix. So call I would even like to know the answer on this one.
