For those new to the daily Koffee Klatch, it's time each day when we don't use the 'P' word...(pain)...ok, I didn't really say It's time to remind ourselves that we are no different that anyone else...we love to laugh, share stories and talk about food. We enjoy our friends, love our families and go on trips/vacations. So each day we take a mental holiday for a while. And often by diverting the mind for a little while and not focusing on that 'P' work, we can lead a more comfortable life. It doesn't matter if you just joined or have been here for years...everyone is welcome. ..even if you are form another area of Healing Well. We enjoy having everyone share their thoughts! So on with today's topic...

If someone were to make you breakfast in bed, what would you hope to find on the tray?

OK, this is a bit loaded I know. What would I hope for? or What would I most likely get. Dreams are still free so go for it! I would hope for and love to have on my tray...a tiny vase with a few hand picked flowers or even some greenery would be fine too; a linen napkin and wet wipes; good china and silverware; hot French Vanilla Cafe'; and a warm, gooey homemade cinnamon roll. And beside that breakfast tray I would love to see hubby with a loving smile on his face that says....I didn't make too much of a mess in the kitchen and I promise to clean it up! smilewinkgrin

What do you hope for on YOUR breakfast tray?

The three grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, someone to love, and something to hope for. — Alexander Chalmers

Oh, breakfast, that's an easy one - but it had better be a rather large tray!

I'd want a sampling of eggs - some scrambled, some overeasy, with fresh made banana nut bread and butter, and homemade strawberry jam on the side, along with plenty of bacon - crisp but not burned.

AND a side of fresh blueberry pancakes with warm syrup. Some sliced melon on the side. A glass of fresh, cold milk!

Served on china with sterling silver utensils. In the corner a single rose with baby's breath in a small vase. And a small pot of fresh expresso, served black - as all coffee should be! :-)

And since I will not be able to move for the rest of the day after eating all this, I intend to curl right back under the covers and nap!

Wow! I love all those extras you both put in; the linen and the flowers and all.  I was just thinking food!  I am not that creative.  I agree with Chutz though, the thought of the kitchen NOT being a mess was sorta big.  I love my tea in the morning, so I would have to have some of that.  I have a pretty tight diet but I do love slow cooked oatmeal (stop your're taking my enjoyment out of it).  I would love some fresh berries and perhaps a banana.   A flower and linen and the rest are so cool too!!!  I would like the shutters open so I can see and perhaps hear the birds in the trees outside my window.
What a lovely image this klatch provided. Fun fun!!

It would have to be on a weekend for me. I'd like a nice omlete with a side of fresh fruit berries and melons would be nice and a cup of coffee. I do like the idea of a rose with a little baby breath the linen would be a nice touch. Nice to dream!!!

I will have a pot of colombian coffee with creamer on the side. I'd like some sampling of eggs, like PAlady, and a couple slices of sausage. A nice glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, some blueberry pancakes with whipped cream and butter, and some lovely country styled fried potatoes. Oh and a side of toast with butter for the sunny side portion of my eggs.

There that oughta do it. I will crawl to my recliner and take a nap then. Yum yum. and AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Believe in yourself.  Be kind to fellow humans and animals.  Take time to smell the flowers and the coffee.
And by all means, when you are down, ask me for help.  I will be there.
