hi. i was playing judo (randori or sparring with a teamate) when i fell side ways on my right shoulder.
(for those who have a background of the sport, the throw executed on me was a right handed tai otoshi but my teamate wasnt able to pull my right arm enough and i just fell on my right shoulder, intead.)

i thought at first that my right clavicle was fractured because of severe pain at the moment of injury and that i could not even help myself to stand up. but the xray done immediately after the injury said that there was no fracture. the doctor just gave me pain reliever (arcoxia 120mg) and told me to rest, ice the injured part, and put on a shoulder sling.

a week after the injury, my condition have been improving but still with pain esp when moving my right arm across my chest. and there was a bump that formed at the mid part of the clavicle. and when pressed, it hurts! i was wondering what could that be. and im also worried that i might not be able to play in the anticipated judo competition, or that if i do, i might injure my clavicle even more. cry

sigh. any advice? thank you very much!

I would go back to a doctor.  I have heard that if you stress a bone, it can respond by laying down more calium and bone material to protect it.  You may not have broken it, but you may have come close.  Obviously no one here can give you advice as to whether or not you can compete safely.  That is for you and a doctor to decide.  I hope this is just a temporary situation and that you heal well and quickly.
Good luck.

Hello lovesbbj!...I have to agree with Gretch on this one! head straight back to your PCD, and get it looked at. Dont wait, thinking rest is going to make you feel either...geter done! :)
