Let's exercise our imagination some more with this question...If you could have for free, an unlimited service for 5 years which one of these would you choose...and explain why, please...

extremely good cook
personal trainer
personal secretary

For me I'm all about the housekeeper! I prefer my own cooking, no need for a chauffeur, personal trainer just gets me to laughing. What are they supposed to train me to do??? ...lol I don't need a nanny since my kids are all grown and I have no idea what I'd do with a personal secretary. My business is MY business and I don't need a secretary poking around in it.... tongue

So send that housekeeper on over and if it's a nice looking man, instead of some gal then all the better... shocked smilewinkgrin

OK, your turn to choose...

I am with you on this one, I would choose to have a good house keeper. Although I would prefer to have ..... never mind! I would just prefer that the housekeeper be very very good! I have such a difficult time with scrubbing the floors and doing the bathrooms, I can dust but not as good as I would like, my vacuum is a Kirby with a power assist so it is easy to run on the carpet, but you can not use it on the stairs, and I can not do the vacuuming on them! I like a clean house, I am not a clean freak or anal about it, but I can not keep my house near as clean as I would like! At least not without immense suffering from that forbidden word on this thread!

Chutz and White Beard - you two and your posts made me laugh!!

Oh yes... I'm all about the house keeper! That just sounds wonderful right now! Would she help with laundry, too? Given that I do, on average, 5 loads a day... just that help would be awesome.

There's definite moments of thinking...ah, I'd love a nanny sometimes!... I usually think this about 2pm...when I'd like to take a long nap!

But... the house keeper wins, for sure! Great question!

I would definitely choose the housekeeper! I thought about the nanny since I have a 2 year old, but I really enjoy the time I spend with him so I really don't need a nanny. The housekeeper would be amazing though. Right at this very moment, I am obsessing about the dirt and grime under my stove. LOL I know I shouldn't try to move it myself, but I am so thinking about it! I've asked my DH to do it, but he is dragging his feet. We are having company over for the weekend so it has to get done by then! Send that housekeeper this way soon! LOL

I gotta go with the housekeeper with all of you folks here. I do have the "Merry Maids" come in once every two weeks but to have someone more that that would be awesome. I used to have them come once a week when I worked but backed off when I retired thinking I'd have all this wonderful time....NOT. I have the time but hurt too bad to do it.

keep the faith

I Live near and go to the city. Imagine being dropped off at the door to museums, theater, shops, restaurants, events and not waste time hunting for parking and pay the $$.
