Ive been dx with fibromyalgia for 12 years now. Have a pain pump for chronic neck and back pain ,due to herniated discs, which helps alot. Recently started having burning sensation down left side of neck and I am waiting on ESI injections on the 15th. I woke up this morning having severe burning sensation on the top of me feet and had to take my socks off just to check. I didnt know if is related to fibro or to my neck and back. Called dr and they gave me lidocaine patches to put on them till the dr can see me monday. Anyone have these symptoms? any suggestions on what could be causing this?

Hello Scmartin! Welcome tho the Chronic Pain Forum! I really do not know anything about Fibro, and would really suggest that you check that forum as well for some help on it. That being said....there are many members who float back and forth between both forum's, and maybe someone here will be able to help you with your problem. Keep checking here often, as It may take a while. I wish you the best of luck with your search...and again, Welcome!

Sorry I am not sure either. I know burning feet with tingling is often a form of neuropathic pain. I am not sure whether this type of pain affects other parts of the body or not. I have a pain pump too, By chance haave you changed the mix in your pump recently? If so, could this be a reaction to a new or different medication mix?

Good luck on you search for a diagnosis and relief. Keep us posted. We will be thinking about you.

   Dear Martin,
Good morning. My name is Dani and it is a pleasure to meet you. I am very glad you found the Healing Well Community. This is a wonderful place for knowladge, support and understanding.
As I was reading your post I couldnt help but wonder, as Stella did, if it was neuropathic pain. My second thought was wondering if perhaps you had inflammed your sciatic nerve?
Reguardless, I hope you and your doctor are able to get to the bottom of things quickly!
It was a pleasure to meet you, Martin. I hope you can find some time to put your feet up and rest a bit today.

Hello! And welcome to our little family here! The people on these forums (Chronic Pain as well as the Fibro forum) are amazing with giving suggestions and support so hopefully someone can help you. Just my 2 cents worth, I have Fibro and I have noticed that when I'm in a flare it feels like someone is pouring scalding water down both sides of my back, so yes, I do experience a burning sensation as part of my fibro. With it being your feet though, it makes me wonder about some sort of Neuropathy? It's definitely something to talk to you doctor about! How are the lidocaine patches helping with it?

I hope you find some answers soon and your pain is taken care of!

Keep us updated on how you're doing!

Again, welcome and we hope to see you back here soon!
