I don't know why though. I am going to try to take it a bit easier, and see if that helps.

I have a question that hopefully someone can answer. The bottoms of my feet burn. I've told my doc about this in the past. My therapist knows and thinks it's coming from my lower back.

Lately, my feet have been terrible. The bottoms of my feet just burn and burn and it's really hard for me to function like this. I have five bulging discs, nerve damage, etc...and I've been through so many types of tests and treatments.

I don't know if I'm even ready to get anymore tests. Does anyone ever feel that way? It's a lot to get MRIs, etc...I just feel like I hope that this gets better. Tests to me are exhausting.

I'm rambling now. Thanks for reading, and I can't even tell you how much the support here helps me! You are all such an amazing, supportive group. I truly believe that people do not and cannot understand what we go through. I think maybe some close to us can understand, but still...

about all I can say is that nerves from the spine travel all the way down to the toes, so if we have spinal issues (like you and me and many of us) it can cause symptoms in the feet. That being said, it can also come from circulation problems or other issues I don't even know about. I have numbness and tingling in both feet and that is caused from my lumbar nerves.

Are your feet red and hot, or is it just a sensation of burning? Either way, as much as we all hate more tests, one of your doctors needs to help you assess the cause.

So sorry you're having more problems.

Hi Flower,

I'm sorry you're having such trouble with your feet. I've always thought, if the feet hurt, the whole body suffers. I wonder if trying one of the natural remedies out there for foot pain might help. I know there are several, generally found in the same area as the vitamins and supplements. It might be worth a try, or perhaps your doctor might be able to prescribe something specifically for nerve pain.

You might want to consider getting and using a foot bath as well. The water and massage action might make you feel better.

Take care and I hope you get some relief soon.

I'm really sorry for all that you are going through.... I find all the doctor appts., tests, etc exhausting, too... That being said, it really sounds like you may be having some nerve stuff go on... and I'm pretty sure there will be a test or two that your docs will want you to do :(

Are you on any nerve medication, by chance? I have nerve issues in my feet....not burning...but numbness/tingling....and the Neurontin finally starting helping it.

It IS hard to function with your feet hurting...definitely. I sure hope you can find something that will help the pain..

I hope you feel better.

Flower, this is so odd. I experienced something like this the day after my cortizone injection in my shoulder and the dr. poo pooed the idea that the two were related, though said he was not giving me any more shots. The very next day my best friend called in tears that her feet, legs, hands and arms were all doing this. I'm wondering if it the change of season which gets me every time. ??? I hope you feel much better. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.

Hi Flower,

I'm really sorry that your having a new pain symptom! I wish I could offer advice, but I'm lost on this one. Please (despite the test frustration) get with your Dr as soon as you can. You never know what may be going on and anything that bothers you that bad should be addressed.

   Dear Flower,
My feet burn aswell. After a year of the feet, the hands started aswell. I use something called "Arnica gel". It is an herbal pain suppliment, only in a "gel form". It helps a great deal. When the grocers store is out of stock I use "tiger balm" but it doesnt work aswell as the Arnica gel does. I think what frustraites me the most about the burning is that it isnt from over working, it just comes when it wants and I'm left with tender, sensative feet and hands. Recently my doctors have asked that I see a few new "specialists" but wont expand further on it.

Thank you to everyone so much! I will try some of your suggestions. I am definitely going to talk to my doctor at my next appointment. I've tried the nerve meds., but the side effects were too great.

The thing is, I do have documented nerve damage, so I guess that this could be that.

Yes, maybe it is sciatica.

I've just been having a harder time lately dealing with all of the pain, even though it's been with me for thank you so much because all of the support really does help me. Also, I'm sure that there are a lot of people like me who don't post much but read a lot here and also get support in that way. What an amazing group!

Hugs and thanks,
