If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed... tongue So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.
(We sure do miss you Chutz!)
What are you reading? New paper? A steemy romance novel? Or perhaps, an edge of your seat thriller? History? A news paper kind of person, if so what section?

I'm reading the latest M. C. Beaton mystery novel. The Agatha Raisen Mysteries.
Try them. But you must begin with The Quiche of Death because it lays out this really funny nutty woman's personality. If you don't start with this one you would say no one would do these serious but stupidly funny things but you get to know her ....and she does do them .. and you believe them,  Good for that laughter we need for healing.
Hey Nora Roberts fan.
Nora Roberts lives in the tiny town next to me. She has book signings in her book store Turn the Page. The town is so tiny that when hundreds and hundreds of people turn up for the signings the line goes down the street to the end of town.
She just opened a Bed & Breakfast there that had been a historic old wreck of a hotel. They were almost done with the total renovation when a construction worker using a blow torch accidently knocked it over and burned the whole build ing down including one next door.
She was on the news and said at least they did no longer have to work around quirky things in the walls now and could build a truly modern building but keeping the historic facade.
And I agree some of the things on HW are the cutest of all.

I just finished reading "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult, and I have another book of hers, "Keeping Faith" to start.

I always have a stack of magazines from the library on the go - everything from Oprah to National Geographic, and then my bible anchors everything. I use an NIV Beginner's Bible, even after all these years, as it's more helpful and easier to understand. I also do a daily devotion from an online source, so sometimes have some print outs there.

Conditions: Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pelvic Pain, FAI, Reynauds, IBS, Interstitial Cystitis, Surgical Adhesions, Ophthalmic Migraines, Severe Hot Flashes (Surgical Menopause and drug related), plus physically unable to vomit due to Nissen, and I have extremely tiny veins...a joy for blood work or IV's)
Surgeries: Appendix, Uterus, Nissen Fundoplication for GERD, Left Ovary, Gallbladder, Right Ovary, TVT
Medications: Oxycontin, Tramacet, Cymbalta, Flexeril, Clonidine, Cesamet, plus Vitamin D and Multi-Vitamin daily
