Welcome to Monday. We'll spice it up with a fun question. Let me preface this with one comment first. This is a question somewhat directed at couples or those involved in a relationship. If you are single just relate back in time to when you had a romance in your life.

So, what’s your Idea of a Romantic Night in? I have simple needs and the first one is to be ALONE! You would think at our age, kids moved out over 15 year ago yet there is always someone here. Grandson who is 18 and going to college lives here but still there's a constant string of others coming through. I do love them but for me a romantic evening would be to have the house to ourselves! Then we'd fix a nice supper...maybe BBQ a chunk of rib eye, a baked potato with fresh chives and a cheesecake for dessert. Then maybe we'd pop in a good movie and just relax. Most likely I'd fall asleep in the recliner...lol But I'd eventually make it to bed. Then the frosting on the cheesecake would be to sleep in the next morning.

I think I need to make this happen soon!

So what's your idea of a Romantic Night In? smilewinkgrin

I need one soon too!

My idea of a romantic night would be to eat dinner, cuddle :) and watch a romantic comedy.

Just hubby and I at a nice upscale hotel in a place not too far away, a swim in the pool (without other patrons) when my hunny doesn't notice that I'm not as trim and flexible as used to be, an afternoon of togetherness, followed by a light meal and return to the hotel to snuggle and sleep.

Oh wait....ear plugs for later...that man snores like a chainsaw... :)

Anytime away with my hubby is what I enjoy - no one else around for distractions. We went for a drive yesterday morning to a church about 90 minutes away from our house, as Ray was preaching there (he's studying to be a Pastor). The weather was lovely, the drive was gentle and even though we don't always talk a lot, just being together is fun.

Our house is an empty nest and we both tend to be homebodies. We love nothing more than a good fire in the fireplace, a fun movie, a glass of wine and each other. Simple, sweet, romantic.

Thanks for this post...it's bringing back some lovely memories!
