Hi Tina!

How are you? I miss talking to you!!! I have been thinking about you and praying for you so much!!!! I can't believe how big of a family you have and how much you are able to do!!!! I am so inspired and in awe of you. I would LOVE to get together and meet you!!! I think it would be so helpful for both of us!!! I know it could be very difficult depending on how you are feeling. I would be more than happy to just come to your house for a very quick visit.

I had my MRI yesterday. I see the pain specialist at UCSF this Friday at 2:30. I'm very anxious about it but am really trying to stay positive and stay strong!!! I hope they find a diagnosis. My pain level has decreased significantly over the past couple of weeks. Not sure why. They increased my Lyrica and my methadone so that could possibly be it. I've been praying a lot over the past few weeks and have been reading a lot of Joyce Meyer's and Beth Moore's books. They are very uplifting and have been helpful to me. I am just trying to have a positive attitude and not let anything get me down. A lot of the stuff we tend to get upset about are so minor in comparison to our health and the pain that we are going through. I just take each day as it comes. I don't really look much to the future. I take things day by day. I start my chronic pain program 8 week classes on Thursday. I'm very much looking forward to this. I've taken the level one classes before and it really helped me and now I will be taking the level two classes. It is so crazy when you are in a room full of people who have chronic pain. When you listen to their stories, it is just heart breaking!! I am truly amazed at how much pain your body can go through. It is unbelievable to me!

Well I hope you are doing okay. Email me when you can.

Hi Stephanie...

Thanks for the post :) I'm so glad to hear that your pain is down some - that's great news. Be it from the Lyrica, Methadone - or whatever! - I'm really happy for you! I absolutely understand your anxiety re: going to UCSF.... but I have found it to be the very thing that relieved much of my anxiety (well, as much as possible). Let us know how your appointment goes on Friday - I pray that it's the start of getting some definitive answers for you.

I don't read as much as I used to (it's just hard for me to focus my brain)... but I have most of Joyce Meyer's books, and I am in love w/ Beth Moore.... I have several of her books/studies, too. Yep, they are very encouraging/uplifting - it helps to see that others understand what it's like to have struggles in life.

Taking day by day... that's the only way I survive - and it's out of pure necessity. Definite change from someone who used to live by her calendar, w/ things written out months in advance. Now, I don't even know what tomorrow will bring. I've gotten better at accepting that way of living, but I'm not there 100%. It's very frustrating to other people who don't understand the necessity of this way of living. But I spent too much time and energy trying to meet people's expectations, at the demise of my own health.... So, basically, when I meet someone new these days - I tell them at the VERY start about my limitations... then it's up to them to take it or leave it :)

I will e-mail you soon.... but I'm so glad to hear you have some decrease in your pain.... and I'll be anxious to hear about your Friday's appointment. Let us know how it goes.....

Take good care, Steph.... --Tina
