Hello all my dear and carring Fam's & Peep's!!!
I said something in a post, forgot where, that I had been wetting my bed lately. Well several of you told me to go rto my Urologist right away cause of my history of prostate cancer. I did call him and left a message last week about what was happening. Well he called back today and I told him that I'm pretty sure I figured out what was going on. He agreed and told me if it started back up again to call him.
Some of you might know that I've switched my pain doc twice since moving to the country a year ago. I had been travelling 4 hours to see my old one once a month for the first couple months here but that got old and expensive so I asked my new family doc to suggest a pain doc. The first was a piece of garbage person! He didn't evan ask me how I felt and cut my meds back 30mgs the first time I saw him! I gave him the bennifit of the doubt and went twice more but it didn't get any better so I told my reg doc what happened and he suggested another. A young lady who seems to know what she's doing but I'm not sure! So far she has cut my meds back another 50mgs!!! These docs seem so afraid to prescribe narcotics around here! Anyway, I went along w/ it. I'd been wanting to cut back anyway and see what happens since I'd been taking the same doses for so long. Well I can tell you what happened>> More pain of course>> Da!!! It's getting really hard to get out of bed and walk in the morning before I take my a.m. meds! My back is constantly in pain as is my neck which both are above #5 or #6 and shoot higher w/ activity. My hip has been probably the worst since the cut in meds> #7+! It burns and aches all the time and walking makes it worse. I had all this pain pretty much in control w/ the amount of meds I used to take, I mean I usually kept the pain below a #5 and evan got my brain used to that amount! I guess all good things must come to an end, especially with us C.P'ers!!!!!
Anyway, the reason I'm telling Y'all this is because I had been experimenting w/ the pain meds I had left to take, moving the times around when I take them to try to cope better w/ the pain! The Doc has me down to 3 - #15mg oxy's & 3 - #10mg methadones and one muscle relaxer at bed a day! I used to take twice that amount! So I've been taking a oxy and a 1/2 a methadone in the morning and trying not to take anymore till late in the day when the pain got out of control.  I think my tollerance has definitly gone down as it's been a couple months since she cut me down to this level! Anyway, by taking most of my meds late in the day and having a lower tolerance, I think it has caused me to start wetting my bed at night! After starting to take the meds earlier and more spread out, the wetting has stopped! Yea!!! But the pain in the afternoon / evening is much worse!!! Oh well, at least it's a dry pain!!!
That was a joke incase anyone didn't get it!!! You know like the westerners say, "at least it's a dry heat" Ask Miss Dani about our wet heat here in Fla!!! LOL!!!
So here I sit, in pain and soooooo tired> (didn't get my testosterone shot on time cause my wife was out of town!) At the end of my 3 week w/o a shot, my T level drops like a lead balloon! Blood tests have varrified that! Makes me so tired> Dead tired> Zombie tired Uggg!!
Sorry for all the whining as usual! I just wanted to let my caring Fam's who were worried about my bed wetting to know that I've stopped! Sure make Moma happy too!!!> Moma don't like wakin in dat wet bed!!!
It's been raining here> Yea! Don't have to water the garden but since I built an irrigation system out of some old pvc pipes and fittings I had laying around this past weekend> (it actually works!) it just figures it would start raining finally!!!
So Datz all Folks as Buggs used to say!
Luv & Hugz To Y'all!!!!
Pain lovin Pete!
PS> Got my tens unit from the Lovely Miss Linda in the mail today!!!! 3 Cheers for Linda> Hip, Hip > You know the rest!! Miss Linda is an ANGEL!!! Thanks again Miss Linda!!!

Thanks Pete for updating us, we were worried! Sorry that you have to deal with extra pain in the evenings now though! Cracked up when you said "dry pain"....I used to live in Colorado but now live in South Central Nebraska. We have been here 6 years and still can't adjust to the humidity! I always say that I will take dry heat ANYTIME! Try and get some rest and hang in there! Take care of you!!

Glad to hear you are doing better, Pete. Having pain is awful enough but add to that losing control of the bladder is down right frustrating and embarassing too. None of us need any more misery.

It hasn't stopped raining off and on since last September but remember I'm in Washington state where we have the Annual Rain Festival...from Jan 1st - Dec Seriously, if I were to not put my tomatoes out until the nights were consistently about 55* then they would still be indoors. They are just sitting and doing nothing so I might just have to move them into the greenhouse. They are in large pots on the deck this year. Same with some new dahlias.

The past few days I've been so darn cold I put on these huge fuzzy sox, 2-3 layers of shirts/sweatshirts, heavy pants and I'm still cold. Still cranking up the electric blanket and there's no way we can sleep with the window open yet. And it's almost JULY! I do remember one spring/summer that we had to build a fire in the woodstove on the 4th of July. So while you all are roasting I'll be up here shivering. We must watch for a couple of mostly sunny days later in the week. They say it's summer coming and I don't want to miss it!

Be well my friend!

Cold, Hot, Wet, Dry> Who knows? Chutz, my oldest son lives near Bremerton in the hills about 1/2hr away. He called me on Fathers Day and told me how sick of the cold and rain he is. Now this is a Fla. Boy who came home in May and was so white in contrast to me we look like two different races! He doesn't own a car and rides his motorcycle everyday to work on the ship! I remember doing the same thing up in Jersey when I was his age! I guess the apple likes to ride motorcycles when it falls from the tree! I beg him to be carefull so he doesn't end up like me! My younger son in Virginia has a car and loves the weather there this time of year but hates the winters. He lives in a big city, Norfolk so I'm really glad he doesn't ride a M/C!!!!
Becky, thanks for the kind words! It's humid in Nebraska? Where does the water come from??? Ours comes from the Atlantic Ocean some days and the Gulf of Mexico the others, just depens which way the wind is blowing! Most days in the summer are between 95%~100% humidity here. It's litterally like a steam bath, I'm always wet> I feel like a slimy salamander all summer from April to November! But my bed is dry now and I sleep w/ the ceiling fan & ac on so as long as the power doesn't go off (happens all the time!) I sleep dry!
The grass is always greener on the other side but it's really green in Washington State!
Hope Everyone has a Great low pain & comfortable day no matter where you live!

     Dear Pete,
Speaking of packages,  I will run to the post office today and mail you and suzanne packages off. I am sorry I have been so late in catching up, but you wouldnt believe all the crazyness I came home to!!
I know I should be happy about the dry bed. But I cant help but think about your pain being so out of control. By then end of the day you must be exhausted!!! I really would have thought by now that the new docotr would have been able to get your pain down to livable levels. I am bit frustraited you arnt being helped more. You arnt asking to build rome in a day! Just needing better pain control. mad   This new doctor has had nearly 3 months and it seems like she isnt helping very much
Yes, I love my dry heat. I love no sweating. No frizzy hair. Constant wind storms and road runners. It is pure bliss I tell you! The heat out there is HEAVY. Like a huge wet blanket on your all day long. I was drinking water like crazy out there! Though I would do it again in a heart beat! When my husband and I were married in High Spring it was at the end of october and it wasnt anywhere near as bad!
Okay.. I will stopp chatting away. I hope you have a good day today and can a few moments to rest.

Hi Peep'!
Chart, I live near the west coast right where Fla. starts it's bend north & west into the panhandle! No oil here yet, Thank God! They call it Fla's Nature Coast here because we don't have hardly any beaches or buildings near the gulf coast here. Just mangrove and grass estuaries for miles & miles with rivers flowing through it into the gulf. Most places you have to put your boat into a river and ride down at least a few miles to get to the gulf. It's a natural wonderland which could be totally devistated if the oil comes here! There is sooooo much wildlife in this area because of the lack of people and building right on the coasts that almost everywhere else in Fla. has!
I used to live down in the S.E. where it's totally different! Every inch of waterfront is built on! Thats a big reason that I like it here and got so sick of it there!
Dani, what are you sending me??? I don't remember you saying anything about sending something??? Anyway> Thanks for the kind words. I don't like the doctors around here, I mean you go to a pain specialist to help get your pain under control right? Then why is she making mine worse by cutting my meds? I'm going to ask her that tomorrow at my apt. I tried it her way and it didn't work! Why would she be worried about giving me too much pain meds when I had already been taking that amount for years? It doesn't make sence to me. It's not like she built me up to those levels, my other doc did that over a ten year span!!!
So, Lisa gave me a buzz cut after I was on line before. It's really short and I love it> She hates it! Then I went and mowed the lawn and picked up branches till it hurt too much and I got hot! The wind and storms had blown lots of dead branches down from the trees! Maybe I'll go out and finish later if it doesn't rain again.
Love yo all Y'all!
