Hi guys,
Have you all noticed the insane amount of spamming going on lately?  Surely these idiots have figured out that we are a legit group here to support each other.
To all the potential spammers out there......leave HW alone! nono mad nono

Looks like most of it has been taken care of (I just signed on, and only saw a couple of spammers which had been edited by moderators). That's the nice thing about HW. When you see a spammer, just hit the "!" icon in the top right corner of the post (the yellow sign) and report it to admin. I think they come in spurts from time to time - probably the same people signing back in with new screen names. But they never last long thanks to our great admin and mods!

They seem to come and go in cycles, usually they show up in the wee hours when they think most people are sleeping. I generally get to nail a couple here and there. Very early this am we had one touting himself as a wonder dr of some sort, lol. I just x'd him right out, lol.

I moderate the Allergies/Asthma forum and sometimes I feel like I'm playing a video game - zapping all the spammers! But I do have to say that the CP mods do an EXCELLENT job of keeping the CP forum free and clear. Shame on them for trying to take advantage of sick people!

Yesterday, when I popped on for a minute I noticed some. Whenever I notice it, it always goes away very fast. The mods really are great here. This site is wonderful!

Reach out and touch someone.  If they don't touch you back it's because you still  have brownie batter on your face.

You mean "oxycontin" (wink, wink, of course it's the real stuff). Good grief. I can't believe there are still people out there who haven't seen the news reports about whatever latest dumb fool swore he bought something "legit" off the streets only to find out it was some kind of poisonous crap dyed to look like the real thing.
Best of all, around here they've actually started charging people who buy imported prescription drugs over the internet b/c technically it's against federal law. It's a serious offense even when they're "just" imported from Canada. Heck, I get nervous just using my prescription insurance company's mail order service here in the US -- who are these people ordering from the Mongolian metal hunt dwellers anyways? smilewinkgrin

Thanks so much for keeping on top of all these silly fools. Hopefully we will get a break from them now. :)
