So much pain, this constant headache is just killing me. I really feel like all the doctors i have seen are missing the boat on this one. I really feel like there is something going on. The dizziness today is just beyond belief. It's coming from my head and not my ears. i can feel it. I am calling my doctor in the am and going in to talk to her. I need answers. I am having an MRI with contrast on Friday and I would really like it to show something to explain this pain. Anyways I've been in tears for the most part of the weekend and wishing I could have my old life back without all this pain.
Thanks for listening to me.
I hope you have had a better weekend.

Thanks for your kind words Beckey. Yes I need relief in a bad way. I can not continue like this. Even while camping i had this pain and kept ice on my head.
I can always feel the love from everyone here and it helps to know that so many care about me.
I'm doing the best I can.

I know Michael, I thank God you came along in my life. He knew I needed you and all my friends here. What more can I say.

Thanks Mikel. I know you are there for me and praying for an answer for me.

I just know that it can't keep going like this. There must be some test out there that I haven't had.
I keep reading and searching.

Hey, Suzane...

I'm sorry you've had a lousy weekend. It's been a rough one around here, too. Anyway, Suzane, I would definitely call your doctor in the morning and let her know how bad things are. I agree that you DO need answers... or just some type of relief.

I'm glad you are having an MRI on Friday... when's the last one you had? Have you had trigger point injections done before, Suzane? Hmmm, just trying to grasp at straws to think of things for you! I don't know Canada at all... but have you had any of the "Headache Centers" send you information? If you'd like, I'd be willing to e-mail them and have them send you information (hey, it might distract me from the 20 hours of TV I watch per day on bedrest!)... honestly, I wouldn't mind it all. You might be inundated w/ mail... but you might find something that helps you.

Anyway, still praying a miracle happens for you... let us know what happens w/ your doctor tomorrow.. and know I'm thinking of you!

Love, Tina

Thank you ladies. I've had all the tests done previously and all negative. This is the first mri with contrast. I have had a ct with contrast.
Tina thanks honey for the offer but that is too much to ask of you. You have yourself to concentrate on. I have been to two headache centers in toronto but nothing changed.
I have had trigger point injections, nerve blocks, botox, etc.......
I have pushed for everything. I have seen tons of doctors.
I just recently saw a psychologist for my depression and he wants me getting tests for Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus. You can google that for the info. So this all needs to be set up. How much time will that take???? but i am telling my dr. tomorrow that everything is urgent now. Enough is enough. I can't keep living like this.

hugs to all of you

Suzane, I so wish there was an answer out there for you...something that the doctors have overlooked in regards to treatment. I pray for you daily and I continue to websurf to see if I can find something that might be helpful to you.

Have your doctors ever talked about "cluster headaches" with you, or "ictal" headaches? Those are two that might be of interest to them. There is information here if you want to look into it:

Even if your doctors didn't think it was cluster headaches causing your constant pain, it might not hurt to try some of the suggested treatments, just in case.

Keeping you in my thoughts as always Suzane. I hope this information helps even just a tiny bit.

Conditions: Fibromyalgia, Severe Myofascial Pain, Chronic Pelvic Pain (with permanent muscle damage), Femoroacetabular Impingement (CAM and Pincer), Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (both wrists), Reynauds, IBS, Scar Tissue/Adhesions, Ophthalmic Migraines, Severe Hot Flashes (both Surgical Menopause and medication related), plus physically unable to vomit due to the Nissen, and I have extremely tiny veins with a lot of scar tissue...a joy when it comes to having to give blood or get an IV started

Surgeries: Appendix, Uterus, Nissen Fundoplication for GERD, Left Ovary, Gallbladder, Right Ovary, TVT

Medications: Oxycontin, Cesamet, Tramacet, Cymbalta, Flexeril and Clonidine plus Laxaday, Vitamin D and a Multi-Vitamin daily

Hi Suzane,

I am so sorry to hear that you are having a bad weekend. You'd think one of these days you'd get a break!! As always you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Do you know if they are using a 1.5T or 3T machine for your MRI? The 3T machine is more sensitive and can sometimes turn up things that the 1.5T machine misses (for example the 3T machine picks up my optic nerve enlargement, but the 1.5T machine doesn't). Your doctor does need to specify the 3T though, as at least in the USA, 1.5T is the standard. I really hope that your MRI turns up some answers, whatever they may be!!

   Dear Suzane,

I am glad you stopped by *hugg* I am very glad to hear you were able to go camping. I know much you love to be out in the wilderness and away from all the stress. I just wish you were able to enjoy your time without being in so much pain.

I know you mentioned that there was damage in your C-spine a while back.. But I too hope that using the dye will help the doctors "see" what is going on. You have endured through so many endless tests and endless treatments..... something has got to give! I pray that something shows on the MRI that will explain what is happening to you.

I know you are not able to rest... I do hope you are able to fall asleep, even if it is only a short while. Hang in there and stay strong!

Sorry to butt in on this thread, but Pam you talked about the possibility of this being Clusterheadache. I am not saying it definitely is not what Tmj is suffering, but it sounds unlikely, and would say I do know a bit about it as I work on a Helpline for Clusterheadache here in the UK and have had a small amount of medical training for this. TMJ please feel free to ask me if you have any questions on this and I will do my best to help.

However I am not a Doc and can only support and point folk in the right direction.

TMJ I am so sorry you are suffering like this, and feel somewhat guilty for not having picked up on you on the Migraine board, please forgive me for asking, what treatments you have tried? Does this pain fluctuate at all??? Have you tried Indomethacin?? Hang in there!

take care
