Feeling awful. Typing is so hard. Reading posts for the Crohns and Fibromyalgia and Chronic forums and honestly, it's inspiring mentally. I just can't transfer the relief and joy and pure goodness that I see when I read these threads and see so many people in our situations offering up help, advice, good wishes, prayers...
It's inspiring and humbling. Still can't transfer that heart and mind happiness into my nerve endings and muscles and tendons that are so tight and unrepsonsive. Still, maybe with this relief and happy feeling, my stomach/side pain will ease enough for me to get some sleep.
Good LOL And I wish everyone a good rest and a day of manageable pain...or even ten minutes of this truly joyful feeling I've got in everyone out there.
Keep your chin up. We've all got inner wells of strength so deep that those poor regular mortals out there have no concept of.
Happy thoughts and a great day for everyone out there on HealingWell.

   Dear Joie,

Good morning! I don't seem to remember if I have introduced myself or not... But! My name is Dani and it is very nice to meet you. I am so glad you found your way over here to the chronic pain forum. As you can see, we have a great group of people over here!

After reading your post I cannot help but wonder if you are seeing a pain management sepcialist? If not, then I would highly recommend you see one. It is really important to seek out one when we are diagnosed with painful chronic (often times life long) conditions. From my understanding, Fibromyalgia and Chrons disease are increadibly painful. Alone, they are painful and life altering. Together? They are debilitating. I am so very sorry you are hurting so much! I think it is time to seek out more specialized help for your pain.

Again, it was oh so nice to meet you. I look forward to knowing you better as time goes by.

Welcome to the forum!

My grandmother developed Chrons Disease in her 60's. She was able to take some medicine that helped it. And that was 20 some odd years ago.

I remember seeing a commercial recently with a hockey player (I believe it was) who was endorsing a NEW medicine for Chrons Disease with the "you don't have to suffer anymore."

It's good to know that the pharmaceutical companies are working towards new and improved medicine and hopefully a cure. Keep positive and good luck to you.
