Good Morning Chronic Pain Friends!
Well it is another beautiful Monday morning! Though I would love nothing more than to curl up on my heating pad and read my latest romance novel.... it is Monday. There are tasks to complete, jobs to do and appointments that need to be kept.
Often times we are so busy supporting others that we often forget to update about ourselves. So, before we get too wrapped up in starting out the week... Please, stop by and let us know how you are doing. Even if you are in alot of pain or not in much pain. Give us an update. We want to know how you are doing.
What are your major planns for the week?
How are you feeling & what has your pain scale been like over the weekend?

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

Good morning to all! I hope you each have a low pain day and that all is well! I will keep in touch about the surgery our dear Mikel is going through today. His ex will call me and I will post as soon as I hear anything. I love him so much and I know all of you do as well! I pray this day is a good one for everyone and that this week will be a special one for us all. I'm keeping Momto6boys/Tina in my prayers and I hope you all will do the same! Good Morning/Afternoon,

I've had a lousy last few days - I've developed pain in my ribs, but only when I'm touched - there's no pain if I'm just sitting or stretching, only when I'm touched in that area. No rash or anything unusual, there's no bruises or anything. Even the feel of my shirt hurts. Add that to the new pain I've also developed in my hands and fingers, and worse on the left side than the right. I went to pick something up and almost dropped it, because my fingers hurt so bad when I went to bend them to pick up the dish.

So...I'm in a state of frustration at this point. I'm tired, I'm peeved about pain issues, I'm peeved that it's taking forever just to get an appointment with an Ortho Surgeon, never mind actually seeing him....and of course the more I'm angry or stressed, the more pain I feel, so it's been a struggle to find the balance. Hubby and I were out at a friends house yesterday afternoon, spending time with a group of our friends, celebrating the birthday of our host's 2 year old son, cuddling their newborn daughter, and reading to their oldest girl. I love hanging out with all the friends, but I just felt so lousy yesterday. At one point, I started sweating profusely, but had the chills...I gave the baby to the lady next to me and told Ray I needed to go home now. Our friends are all aware of my health issues, so they were sympathetic and caring, but I don't think they've ever seen me when I've felt like this....maybe they have, I can't remember, but it was a lousy end to my day and I hate it when pain wins.

Anyways, I was happy to be able to pray for Mikel this morning - I hope he does well. I hope all of you here are also doing well, and feeling as good as possible. Take care.

Hi all,

I was going to start a new post, but this is just a good a place to post it. I came home from vacation on Saturday afternoon (spent a week at the shore with family and friends). So far this week has gotten off to a great start. I wasn't so sure this morning, when I had to get up a 6 am, after just 2 hrs of sleep, but the day's only gotten better. I went into work for a few hours this morning, and then set off on my 2 hr trek to go take the GRE (Graduate Record Exam), which is required for entrance into veterinary school. I had special accommodations on the test (enlarged font & time and a half) because of my eyes, but I managed to finish it all in a "quick" 4 hrs. The nice thing about taking the exam on a computer is that you get your scores right away (with the exception of the writing portion). I'm really pleased with how I did. I got a 550 verbal and a 710 math. My math is great, the verbal is a little below average for some schools, but I'm not going to worry about it. I was planning on taking the exam twice, but I'm pretty satisfied with how I did & I don't think I'm going to bother, as I doubt I'd do much better. Plus, I had the good fortune of having had a really great pain day today (down to a 4! yeah! thank you stimulator!) & that might not (and knowing me, probably won't) be the case next time.

As for the rest of this week, I've got nothing much planned, just work & working on completing my vet school applications. Hopefully the rest of the week is as good as today was in terms of pain.

hugs to all,
