Hello All,
I finally have my new Ortho apt tomorrow and hope to find out some information on the bulging disc that isn't supposed to be there.  I'm thinking they will find what many of you suggested and tell me that it is a bone growth rather than a disc bulge.  I just can't imagine a less accurate MRI result than the ones I received from this hospital.  I have been instructed to bring the MRI disc and the disc from the x-rays.  I sure hope this gives me some good news (but I'm not really sure what that is right now).
On another subject, I received the disc from SSD on my case.  They listed three positions that I could do....I have NEVER even heard of any of the jobs.  They were all related to working somehow with soldering something to lightbulbs or to electronic boards like computers.  They say I can't work with co-workers or with the public and that I can't do anything that isn't completely sedentary.  Anybody ever heard of a geeterer?  rolleyes That's one of the jobs they suggested for me.  Goodness knows we don't exactly have any geeter factories around here.  SSD is getting more interesting every time I have some contact with them.  I'll take the disc to the "potential" representative as soon as I can to see if she will "take" my case.  Apparently she has to review the medical information on file before she decides to take a case.  We shall see.....perhaps the info from tomorrow will help with the decision on the case.
All my best to each of you!

Hi "Mom"!

I know it's silly of me to say, "Calm Down and relax" because if you could you would have a long time ago. I would be on edge too. Try not to think about what they might do and save your energy for what they DO actually say. I just might be something good!

Will be praying that things go in your favor!

Thanks guys!

Under......I love the comment about the liquid hot metal, and electricity!!! That really got a laugh out of me! No, I've never done anything like this before. I've never even heard of it as a profession. It was too funny to me! I guess when they look back and realize that my hands won't even hardly hold a pencil, I'll really be limited.....hahaha.....no people and nothing using fine motor skills then. Oh well, we will wait and see. It sounds like they have labeled me as a real nut job, but for the life of me I can't figure out how they got the information so screwed up. Don't get me wrong, I don't care if they say I have three ears, two noses and my legs are on backwards if they approve me. I'm past all that worrying about what people think. I really do need that SSD money to make life a litle easier.

Have a great day all!

Hi RM,

I hope your appointment today went well! I can't believe the job suggestions from SSD! Where in the world did they come up with those jobs?! They are so bizarre that it almost makes me laugh, but then I think about the fact that they are dead serious & using these bizarre positions against you. Do you have a lawyer helping you with your SSD application? I wonder what they'd say about such ridiculous job suggestions...
