We just got the Baby Shower for Tina going yesterday so we're going to have it continue another day. I brought extra food just in case. WOW! shocked What's in the huge box over there? Did someone buy them a new car?

I am slipping in here early for the 2nd day of the baby shower. I had to attend grandparents breakfast at my grandbaby's school yesterday. I decided we need some food that will stick to the ribs while waiting on the "special events". So, we are having a Texas style lunch of beef brisket, (fresh off the smoker) potato salad & baked beans. Daughter in law tossed together her low-fat banana pudding that is to die for as an extra dessert.

Hope the little ones like their little white matching rocking chairs. Will need someone creative to paint their names on the fronts of their chairs. My magic carpet has been in the overdrive mode the past 24 hours and in need of a rest for a day or two. It was a sight to see in shy loaded down with the loot, lol. Almost, gypsy like.

Hi All,

Oh, I'm so glad was able to make it to day two before it was over. I'll have to run out for a little while for one of those reumy apts, but I'll be back for the fun.

Today I'm going to follow the lead and bring something a little different. I make these wonderful oatmeal muffins with toasted pecans, raisins, cranberries, cinnamon and a little brown sugar. They are really only good for a few hours because I use either pumpkin or applesauce to keep them moist (instead of butter). Today I'll be using applesauce and untoasted pecans. They smell so wonderful! I can't wait to take a bite.

My gift today will be the changing table to match the cradles from yesterday. I learned with my back that changing a baby requires a changing table...oh so much easier. Of course it will still be hand carved white with the baby roses at the top and spindle legs. Each shelf will have the baskets to hold all the lovely little baby essentials many of you are bringing. I've also decided to bring little rocking chairs for all of the boys (I don't know their ages, so I'm going to pretend they are all little enough to enjoy the 6 matching blue rocking chairs, the girls will be white with the carved roses, and Mom and Dad will get really large Old Oak rockers all for the outside to watch fall come in as a family. The big chairs will be just large enough to rock a child or two with each parent and to give the child being rocked that special feeling of love. Since it's a virtual party, I'm going to send over a landscaper to make the back yard beyond the rockers a place of peace and serenity (child safe, of course).

Got to run.....I'll check back in later to see how the fun is going.

I will join for a bit today also, but will have to take some time for school. Tests and typing tests are due! Oh joy!

Today I will bring hand crocheted baby blankets, hats and booties to match in the pink and mint green colors that Tina has picked for her beautiful baby girls. The food will be warm gooey cinnamon rolls. Some with raisins, some with walnuts and pecans, but all covered in nice melted cream cheese icing. Maybe something other than dessert too. How about lasagne with spinach, mushrooms and chorizo sausage and thick texas toast covered in garlic butter?

Its nice to have everyone here and to meet you all! I will drop back in again in a bit!
