Good Morning Chronic Pain Friends!

It is a beautiful Monday morning. Though I wish I could fast forward to Friday.... it is Monday. There are tasks to complete, jobs to do and appointments that need to be kept.

Often times we are so busy supporting others that we forget to update about ourselves. So, before we get too wrapped up in starting out the week... Please, stop by and let us know how you are doing. Give us an update. We want to know how you are doing.

What are your major plans for the week?
How are you feeling? What has your pain scale been over the weekend?

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

Pebbles, my rheumy wants to give me steroid injections in my lower back but my Lyme doctor said no....that it could make the Lyme worse. But I do wonder if it would help with my pain. Please keep us posted on how things go for you...I wish you the best!

I don't have many plans this week other than to go to see two of my doctors tomorrow in Southern CA (3 1/2 hour drive away). Oh well....

Take care, everyone!

This past weekend was not good for me.

Friday was my son's fifth birthday and I started getting sick. Saturday we made the 120 mile drive to the inlaws and had his birthday party there...pizza and then games at a local fun park, and it totally kicked my butt. Yesterday and today I have been feeling worse and worse and of course am not able to get much rest.

My wife had her long weekend and decided to sleep until noon on Sunday and then one of her friends from school called and wanted to get together with her for a study session and out the door she went and didn't return home until about 9pm leaving me dealing with the kid all day Sunday. Then today she had school from 8 till noon and when she got home she locked herself in the office all afternoon, once again leaving me to deal with the kid, the dogs, etc.

Then at 5pm this evening she came out telling me she is hungry and wanting to know when supper would be. I came unglued and reminded her that I have been sick and getting sicker all weekend and last time I looked she was able to fix herself something to eat and that our son had 2 parents and it wouldn't kill her to act like one once in a while.

I mean good God. My 5 year old can fix himself cereal or microwave a pig in a blanket for breakfast or make a bologna or PBJ sandwich for lunch all by himself so I would think a 33 year old woman could do at least that much.

Saw my rheumy got my shoulder shot full of cortisone, so cross your fingers it does something to the calcium lump or lumps stuck in my tendon attachment. I can't believe how much trouble such tiny bits of calcium can cause.
But she threw me a sort of whammy. She wants me to go back onto the humira so that I can fail it, so that she can then prescribe me with simponi. The orencia I'm currently on is working but not that well and she isn't happy. But I just keep feeling like I don't wanna go back there, failing meds, means more pain the way I see it. I'm in a quandry?
So thats my week stitched up, worrying about whether I've made the right decision or not.
