Monday Koffee Klatch

If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.

Daily Question:

What do you do to unwind after a long Monday? Are you a slippers and warm warm tea type of person? Out with friend and a few cocktails kind of person? Cozy new novel and ice cream type of person?

How do you "unwind" at the end of the day?

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

I sit on my heating pad in bed and watch t.v., go on the internet, and rest. Sometimes I am so exhausted that I can't even talk!

Hugs,

Generally, I'm a "get comfy on the couch with a cozy blanket, a glass of wine (yep, I drink and use drugs!) and something to read" kind of gal. I enjoy going out with friends, but I'm really more of a homebody.

Actually, I'm probably more like a cat...I love to be warm and cozy and can fall asleep anywhere at any time!

hugs,
Pam

Get all comfy in my bed, turn off all the lights but my night light & a string of cow lights that I have over my shelves, burn some lavender essential oil, & watch reruns of M*A*S*H or Star Trek on DVD.

I come home and immediately get out of my work clothes and into my 'comfy's'. I slouch around like nobody had a better right in the world! When it's time to pick my daughter up from school...the fun begins. Our family tries to eat together at the table. Then I'll read to her (if she'll let me!) or go play in her room. Then it's bath time and wind-down time. After she is in bed by 9:00pm, I will either get on the computer, read a book in bed, or chill with the hubby.

I try to make my evenings as stress-free as possible. On night's when the pain is low, I actually get some sleep!
