Sunday Koffee Klatch
If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.
Daily Question:
One of our cherished CP family posted that she was going to have a "Me Day". I think we all should do this at least once a week. Which birngs me to todays question...
What is/would your ideal "Me Day" like?

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

My ideal me day is the day I can throw away this darn cane and walk freely . Although just the cane is a vast improvement , I still can't touch my toes on my right foot or put on socks or shoes there without the aids the provide for me to use . Just wanna be normal again , I hope that day is close at hand , another month is what they tell me , it can't go by fast enough ! Mikel
HIV+. meds - epzicom, Kaletra . oxycontin as needed , indothemiacin . hip replacement surgery done !!! Staples out , saw the surgeon he says I'm healing really well , I go back in 2 months . Until then its physical therapy galore !!

A nice me day would be a a day spent not having to constantly be cleaning on my house. I am so slow now and it takes me so long to clean that I rarely ever get the upstairs done as it should be. I get so tired of cleaning, cleaning and cleaning.

My me day is sleeping late and lay around in my PJs until bedtime watching TV and eating anything I want.
Lazy, huh?
But I get up at 5:45am every weekday and work until 4 or 5 that evening. Go home tend to my animals, clean house, and grade papers until bedtime.

My ideal Me Day would be waking up early, eating breakfast and going into my sewing room and sewing the entire day and night without being interrupted by hubby and by pain. Right now, I spend maybe 45 minutes in there if I am lucky, before I have to quit and come back out to my recliner in the family room. I always have to put up my project until the next time I have the energy and am relatively pain free again. That may not be for days later. I miss my sewing room.

Right now I am finishing a little dress for my 2 year old Anna (granddaughter). I am planning to make her a Mickey Mouse quilt next. I will machine embroider her name on it too. It should be beautiful and I will make it big out of pink gingham. I can't wait to start it.

OK thanks for letting me share folks. Have a low pain night. I'm going to bed

And by all means, when you are down, ask me for help.  I will be there.

My ideal me-day would be a day where I could sleep in late & didn't have anything I had to do. I'd probably spend the majority of the day outside hiking with my dogs or riding my horses (assuming I had horses). At night, I'd collaspe in my room, fire-up the lavender aromatherapy, dim the lights, and watch either Star Trek, M*A*S*H, or re-runs of another one of my favorite shows.

My ideal "me" day would be a full day at the Spa, experiencing all sorts of great things - a massage, facial, manicure, etc.

After the spa would be a romantic dinner with my husband followed by....other stuff. ;-)

Yes, that would be an ideal day indeed!!!
