update on therapy & doctor's call

I'm up to four exercises a day. This new one makes my my back hurt very quickly.
It's called sit to stand. I'm having to stand and sit with my butt sticking out and leaning into my hips using my legs to stand instead of my back. smhair
I can only do five before my back gripes. cry
 
The doctor finally called about my x-rays I had two weeks ago. eyes She said my L5-s1 disk is squashed so much it looks like a football player's shoulder pads sticking out on both sides. sad   She said thank goodness it's stable.
 
 
I'm still having spasms, milder, but still painful. The stretches help some, but not always.
So I asked her about getting me a different muscle relaxer since Flexeril makes me sweat so much I feel like I'm in a furnace. She ordered me skelacten (?), but I can't afford the co-pay ($75). I was going to call her again today to change it to a cheaper one but I forgot. confused
I guess I try to remember to do it tomorrow. rolleyes

Joy did you have an MRI a couple of weeks ago? If so, if I were you I would contact the facility and get a copy of the written report and usually they will put the film on a cd for you at no charge. You need to see for yourself what that MRI showed. Your drs description is not a very good one.

Yes, I have a copy of my MRI and a copy of the written report. She was trying to describe it where I could picture it easier. It's kind of hard to understand the MRI in my honest opinion.
My physical therapist had me doing more machines today. She said I was getting more balanced. I'm assuming that means that my left side is getting stronger. She's decided she doesn't want me doing anything that would involve laying down, because I seem to get more spasms laid down.
Today she had me to lay down while she did some general stretching on my legs. It felt real good until I sat up. Ouch! I couldn't even touch my knees after that spasm. She had me do some more release exercises and it relaxed again.
