I have been married for almost 11 yrs to an awesome husband but sometimes is to demanding of my disease and I have to wonderful sons that are very helpful. Sometimes I feel like I am a burden to everyone around me. I am only 35yrs old. I was n schol to get my masters in nursing when I had a stroke a few months ago. This has truly been a challenge for me but i am a fighter.

Dear Nurse,

Good morning! I am so glad you stopped by! *hugg* I have to say the one thing I noticed about you is that you have such an incredibly kind nature. You truly care what someone is going through and offer support to anyone who in need. You are a very unique woman.

I am so sorry to hear about everything you have had to endure through. At one time my husband just didn't realize how bad things were getting for me. At that time I began taking him to my doctor visits. When he was able to be there so my doctors could explain what was happening he slowly began to change. Later on he ended up going with me to the psychologist and that made a word of difference. Does your husband come with you to your doctor visits?

I can see I better watch out or I will ramble on and on half the morning! I am so glad you stopped by to give us a chance to know you better! You are in our hearts and prayers here.

*warm hugg*

challenged nurse

I like the name it is very befitting of you! Yes you certainly are challenged! But have faith you have a bunch of new friends here that will cheer you on, and try to help you, and most certainly will support you, and definitely listen and lend you our ears! You are definitely not alone, and I might add that there are quite a few of us nurses here on the forum too! Admittly I have been out practice  for awhile, as I am on disability!  But you can take the person out of nursing,.... but you can not take the nurse out of the person! At least that is how I feel about it! My youngest daughter is just a little bit younger than you, and she is also a nurse! May I ask You?  Are you still able to work at with your condition? I don't mean to pry but how bad was your stroke, I know that Lupus alone can be a heck of a challenge! I admire you for going back to school to get your Masters! Never give that up! Follow your dreams! There may be  obstacles in your path, and a few detours along the way, and it might take you longer to achieve your goals, or you might even change your goals, but alway keep faith, and have hope, and who know what the future might bring!

Challenged nurse I am really sorry for all that you have been through, and the challenges that you have yet to face, but I really am happy that you came here to our forum, and I do hope you stick around we really do have a really great group of people here! I think some of the most caring and compassionate people that you will find anywhere on the internet! So You at least have another forum to come to, and share with us your burdens, as we will gladly help you in anyway we can to lighten them!

Again I say Wecome to our family! I do wish YOU all the BEST!!
