Greatings to all! So sorry I haven't been posting for awhile! Things have been pretty crazy in Peteworld lately. As some of you know, my 83 y/o Mom is a snow goose! I drive her up to her lake house in N. Joisey in the Spring and fly back to Fla. Then in the Fall, I fly up there to drive her back! A few days before leaving for Jersey about two weeks ago, my
sister-in-law was in the town next to us visiting her 90 y/o father and helping him out w/ some chores. He still lives alone! She was cutting a limb off a big live oak tree on a ladder w/ an electric chain saw> a big NO~NO!!! She fell off and broke her back! A burst fracture to a vertabrae in the lumbar section> The worst kind of broken back there is! She is so lucky that she didn't loose any feeling in her legs!!! Anyway, between getting ready for my trip, having people (family) stay here and at Mom's place to visit my S-I-L in the hospital and going to see her myself, there was little time to get on line!
Then there was the trip north! No computor at Mom's> She thinks they are evil and maybe she's right??? I was up there closing up her house, cutting tree limbs, raking leaves and taking them away and of course fly fishing the local streams and fishing in her lake for about a week!! (I caught lots of feesh!) I evan went to the Giants vs Lions game at the new Giant's stadium!!! The G-men evan won> Go Big Blue!!!
As usual, I over did it and was hurting pretty bad the whole time up there> using heating pads> tens unit> hot showers & lots of meds I was able to stay on task most of the time. Then there was the drive back to Fla w/ Mom & her cat Charley!!!!! It seemed longer than usual but nice weather driving through the Shenendoa Valley (awsome colors on the mts.!) and we survived it. Now I'm hurting much worse than usual! We got back Weds night and I haven't done much since getting home, it just hurts too much! I keep switching the sticky pads of my tens from my lower back to my neck trying to numb the pain. I feel bad as I haven't helped my wife w/ any chores since getting home! I feel useless and hate it! I have to get back into my groove and get moving! GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
Well fams, I'm having trouble sitting here, it's hurting way too much! I'll try to start posting again cause I miss Y'all so much! Hope all Y'all are feeling better and Big Hugs to all!!!
Your Brother>

Good for you, even though you pay dearly for it you are still living your life. Thanks for checking in and giving us an update, we worry about our loony tune brother! Take it easy for a bit, ok? Hope to hear from you again soon.

Good afternoon Pete!

See how well we all know you! smilewinkgrin Everyone agrees there is no stopping you......you remind us of that "Energizer Bunny"

I will be seeing you face to face soon....then we can slow you down a bit maybe! wink

Hope you get to feeling better soon my man! We have real winters here, so the outdoor projects are limited that time of year.

That's what you need!....about a foot of snow!....that will slow you down!

Take care! And I did not receive my videos! I do watch them you know!

SE wink

  Dear Pete,

It is always so good to hear from you! *hugg* It sounds like you had a lot of work to do cleaning up the property and house for you Mom. I hope she appreciates all the hard work! Was it already getting cold up there?

I am so sorry to hear about your sister. That is a very serious injury. I hope she is able to recover fully. It must be very hard for her right now. We will say an extra prayer for her.

Hopefully right now you are relaxing and recovering from all the work! Take care and stay safe! Thats an order  smilewinkgrin

Lots of Love from all of us!

Hi Pete,

Glad you survived the trip, despite the pain. You are a good son. Take some time now to rest & recover before you get back to your hectic life!

Chart, So sorry to hear that your eye is giving you problems again! I'll say a prayer for you! Eye problems suck!!! Thanks for the prayers for my SIL, I saw her yesterday in the rehab place and she's very upbeat! Now it seems she is going to be going back home on Monday to Cape Coral about 3 hrs south. My wacky older brother says he's too sick to come up and get her so it seems I'll be making another road trip to take her home if she can't get her insurance to pay for a nonemergency transport there! Yikes! I can't believe they would let her ride in a car already! We'll see??? Thanks again Chart, Your "Da Best"!!!
Becky, I'm the king of the muck! I just keep walking there though cause I can't run to the muck anymore! It's more like crawling a muck this week! Thanks for caring my Sister!!! Hugs!
Dani, OK Boss, I'm takin it easy! Did you get the Flip Videos? I'll bet you didn't know they had such big trout in "Joisey"??? It's not all road, industry and polution like most people think ya know! Hope all is well w/ you and your wonderful Fam! I love "Yuze Gize"!!!! Big Hugs for all of YUZE!!!!
Skeye, Look whos talkin about a "Hectic Life"??? Of all our Fam here I think you are the one who runs yourself ragged w/ all your studdies and lack of sleep! You amaze me! Hope everything is going as planned now that you are getting a little relief from your stim thing!!! Keep it up Lil Sis! I want youu to be my Vet someday when you move to Fla and get out of that cold stuff!!!
Paula, Maybe there is no need to hurry but I have three Dr apts next week. My 3 month Uro testing, He tests w/ his hands & fingers for prostae & testicular cancer, talk about being intamit w/ your doc! I've had it done so many times, it's like shaking hands for me anymore! Anyway, I have to smash all my chores, fishing and food shopping & cooking into 2 plus days next week<> Hmmmm??? To take it easy or to not take it easy> That is the question??? Oh yea, the other apts are my pain doc and the sleep study doc> FINALY! White Beard has been bugging me to see one for about a year now and I'm finaly going! I'll probably end up looking like I'm sleeping in a space suit just like him when I'm done!! Big Hugs Paula, thanks for caring and sorry I got "off track" there for a minute but you know me> I'm a wackster!
Much love to all my Fams that posted and to everyone here at the CP forum!! I love All Y'all!!!
