Good Morning Chronic Pain Family!
It is a beautiful Monday morning! Time to rise and shine! Well, I'll "rise" but the "shine" part might take a bit of work... Never the less! It is Monday. There are tasks to complete, jobs to do and appointments that need to be kept.
Often times we are so busy supporting others that we forget to update about ourselves. So, before we get too wrapped up in starting out the week... Please, stop by and let us know how you are doing. Give us an update. We want to know how you are doing.
What are your major plans for the week?
How are you feeling? What has your pain scale been over the weekend?
(Are you having a hard time with pain + cold tempatures)

Hi Dani!
Well I'm recouping from the long trip home driving from up north. I'm getting better but very slowly! Today I have to p/u my sister in law at the rehab center, (she broke her back and had two rods screwed on to 7 vertabrae on both side to stabilize the break!) They want me to drive her back home to Cape Coral about 3 & 1/2 hrs south of here! I can not believe they are making her travel by car! I would think they would get a non emergency transport of some kind to move her that far but maybe insurance will not pay, I'm not sure. My older brother, her husband is very sick w/ some sort of flu and can't come pick her up. I'm worried that they may wait till this pm to dicharge her. If that happens, I'll be driving well into the night!! There is no way I'm going to stay over night at my brothers house w/ him being so sick! Hell, I am not evan going into that house or get near him! Thats all I need right now is to get sick! I'm very worried about my SIL getting it too!!! She is wearing this huge thing around her chest and belly that straps around her. I think it's removable but looks very uncomfortable! Poor girl!!!
I acutually am suposed to go fishing early tomorrow morning w/ a friend who has been bugging me since I got back, seems the fish are biting really good since it started to cool off! I'm not sure because my back and neck are still hurting pretty bad. It takes an hour after I get up and take my meds for me to be able to walk and move around which I really hate!!! I still have tons of work to do here too. My wife wants me to build a hay loft in the barn so she can buy a bunch of bails at a good price for winter. She also wants me to build a fence around the barn to keep the horses away so the grass will grow there. All the rain last summer washed alot of the dirt (sand) away and we are afraid the barn may sink if we don't do something soon! Wish we had some $$ so I could hire someone but we are near broke waiting for my SSD to come through. I also have to get all the stumps out of the pasture from the trees I cut down. I dug and cut a little one out yesterday and it almost killed me! I was stupid as usual, I should have waited a little longer before trying that! Dumbazz!!
Well Kidos, thats about all thats going on in Peteworld right now, I hope everyone is feeling well and the pain is staying low!!!
Big Hugs for all my Fams!!!!

I feel pretty good today...maybe because I didn't do anything over the weekend due to the wind and rain we had. Nice to just hang out and do chores and read. It would be nice if this lasted.....forever!

Pete, you'd be better off buying a shed for the hay....hard enough just to unload and stack hay, let alone get it up into a loft. Luckily I have a barn big enough for about 300 bales of hay...more than enough to get through the Winter for 4 horses.

I hope your SIL gets discharged early so you can get back before dark....and that your Brother recovers from his flu and doesn't give it to you or his wife. What a lousy thing to happen.

Hmmmm, not feeling great. The pain is too much to bear and I never have a break. Not sleeping much and in the

crying mode. The depression is tough to get thru as well.

Appt. tomorrow regarding bladder surgery. And Wed. with the pain doc.

I wish everyone a low pain week.

One day at a time!!

The steroid eye drops did not help as good as my eye doctor was hopeing for and he took me off them.
Plus the restasis have started to burn my eye's and that has never happened, so I called the maker
of these eye drops as my doctor said it could've been a bad batch, so...aint life just grand..(jokin)

Chartreux, I'm allergic to restasis, It burns my eyes and swells my face. Do you have plugs? Mine helps me very well.

Well, aside from having strange pains in my left leg like I sprung it all weekend my pain level was okay. I think I tried to get too frisky at PT Thursday.

Today at PT I was working out on the arm machine when I lost total control of my left arm and it did this crazy, violent, jiggling dance. It surprised my therapist so much she said I had a new trick going on. I just grabbed my arm and held it until the spasm stopped. The jiggles danced across my shoulders for awhile. Now my shoulders hurt.

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to post a little more to keep my spirits up because my pain is sky high! It is crazy lately! I spend the majority of my day in bed because normal stuff is too painful! I did get a bit of good news.....instead of waiting to see the new Rheumy until January.....they squeezed me in on November 9th! I just started crying on the phone with the receptionist when she told me! I know that the appointment isn't going to stop my pain, but at least it is a step in the right direction! Wishing you all LPD's! Back to bed for me!

Take care!

Well... Its been busy a start to the week for me. My vision is getting worse. I was told that the tissues degenerating and the cells are stripping in my eyes some time ago. I have "pepper" and "grey shading" through out both eyes. I was told a number of things to "watch out for" and to call immediately when they happened. Well, the flashing is happening more and more frequent. So *sigh* I guess I will call the eye surgeon at some point. He is a blessing, don't get be wrong. He removed my cataracts and gave me synthetic lense. Did the laser twice to remove "hardened protein" in both eyes... just that I have gone so long barley being able to see, I am just not in a hurry. Really, if you were in my shoes, with everything else going on, you wouldn't be in a hurry either. I haven't even been able to drive in a year and half due to my vision.

The tinnitus isn't so bad any more.  Besides, it is very cold these days it is nice to sit next to the dryer and read. Speaking of reading, thank goodness I have a kindle with "text size". I would be very upset if I couldn't read on top of everything else.

The deep pulling and pain in my thoracic is rather intense this last week or so. .  I told them I would call if anything came up and I don't want to break that "trust" by putting off the intense pain. ..on the other hand who on earth would want to have their secondary thoracic dextroscoliosis & Primary progressive thoracolumbar levoscoliosis assessed just before the holidays?  I would rather wait until after I have had my holiday fun to get my new cobb angle measurements! Still.... I take an awful lot of medication and I am not quite sure what is going on that is so bad to bring 10+ pain for little 3 days spurts in my thoracic. Bleh. I need a body vacation.

My hips and knees are doing okay. I am very pleased to report that my new at home program is still of tremendous help to my hips and mostly left knee. My walk, or so I am told, looks much "smoother". Everyone has complimented me on it so I am sure they are telling the truth! I will have to try to make excess candies and chocolates this year for the physical therapy team to show them how much I appreciated all their help.

Last, but not least, my non sleep. 3 to 4 hours of sleep with 5-10 waking periods isn't so bad. But, fully waking after only 2 and half hours is making me a little angry. My body needs at least 4 hour of sleep once every few days. I don't find this very fair at all. With little ones to tend to and everything happening to my body, I am rather upset that I have been stuck with little more than 2 hours. I sure do hope things go back to 4 hours. I promise I will never complain about my 4 hours ever again if it could just come back!

Well, that about it from my neck of the woods!
