Wednesday Koffee Klatch

If you are new to this forum family then you may be wondering what kind of goofy question is that on a health care forum. idea   We all suffer with medical conditions and with most of us there is pain involved...sometimes a lot of pain. Or maybe you are the loved one of one of these persons. This forum is all about how we help and support each other, how we gain back more quality to our lives, and how we can learn and share what we gain along the way and hopefully make not only our lives better but the lives of others who come to join us.

But we need to also remember that there is the other side of life...the side that isn't concentrated on illness and pain. That's why we started the daily Koffee Klatch. This is a time to laugh, reminisce, chit-chat about the silly things in our lives...all fun things and no pain. In fact the 'P' word is not allowed...  turn    So each day we share our thoughts or experiences on a different topic. Often it includes food, sometimes we talk about our past, and other times we just get goofy! Laughter is our goal. So, please join us whether this is your very first day on Healing Well or you're a seasoned veteran.

Daily Question:

If you could build yourself a room. Any kind of room, no matter the cost.. what would you build?

What is your "dream room"?

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

It would be a fairly large room with rich, dark wood paneling and no windows. Along one wall would be a natural stone hearth split fireplace able to burn real wood on one side and use natural gas and propane on the other side. On each side of the fireplace would be floor to ceiling built in book cases.

Along another wall would be a very large high definition TV set above floor cabinets for storing things like video game systems, board games, etc. The top of the cabinet would be partitioned off for a DVD player, stereo, home theater system, etc. On either side of the Tv would be shelves for movie storage that have stained glass doors.

A 3rd wall would have a very large comfy couch. The type that you could sit on all day long or lay down on and take a great nap.

The 4th wall would have over sized recliners and easy chairs, and tucked into a corner would be nice oak table that can be easily pulled out for playing board and card games on.

The floor would be covered in a med dark rich earth toned carpet with extra padding. Track lighting would be along the ceiling and each section of lights would be placed on its own dimmer switch. There would also be lamps on the end tables placed by each chair and on each end of the couch.

Wow, Jim! Awsome!
Mine would have one wall of glass, a type that I could see out, but no one could see in. One wall would have nothing but bookcases loaded with books from my favorite authors. Another wall would have a large screen TV with surround sound decked out with an assorted array of taping equipment and movie players.
The third wall would have a very large comfy recliner with heat and massage added.
In the center of the room would be a very large hot tub with soothing jets for those extra painful days.
